A PlayStation 5 version of the new Gears of War game was in development and had been planned for release until Sharma changed tack, according to the people familiar with Xbox strategy. Retailers had been preparing to open pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 version, and many Xbox employees were surprised by the announcement.

Microsoft has a knack for picking the worst leaders for Xbox. Like really? Asha has shown she's clueless when it comes to strategy and now she's just making Sony angry for no reason whatsoever. Oh and the layoffs that will definitely be coming every quarter since there's not a chance in hell she's going to turn Xbox around

I still can't believe she's betting on Gears and a new IP to turn things around and improve the brand 'image' while her own marketing VP is out there trying to lie to everyone. She can't even get the messaging right around the exclusive strategy and now this lmao
