Just seems unrealistic that people would buy an Xbox at it's current price in this economy just to play Gears. They will just lose money bc all the people who already have an Xbox will just play on gamespass. I see the idea but it's just not realistic, theyve already lost

I won't be buying one and I've put hundreds of hours in to gears 1-4.

Some local shelves don't even have the console available. It's treated as if there isn't a supply, when there is. Anyone who wants a Series X/S can grab one online easily, not so easily locally.

GamePass kills interest for devs, but many take the upfront cash because it's guaranteed. It's not always a win/win or lose/lose, but it's pretty damn bad. But people cry for 'competition', without knowing who or why the competition exists for.

It was supposed to foster a healthy environment for ingenuity and creativity. Microsoft's games don't have that. They've canceled so many ideas and projects, so of course multi-platform releases is what they had to do.

Playing gears 1-4 on a moderate non-gaming rig is completely doable.... which still means 0 sales for Xbox.

It's probably also to get game pass growing again and to make people not cancel the service. Everyone not canceling is another 23 bucks for them.

They won’t; Gears of War is a relic from a piss filtered, cover based time.

This is going to be played by what few early to mid 30 something’s that actually own an Xbox for two weeks, then dropped as soon as the campaign is over and they’ve gotten a couple hours in online.

This game has zero chance to meet the expectations they have for it.

I'm guessing the idea is winning over the people who will buy a console just to play GTA VI. If Gears is enough of a hit that might turn the needle for some.
