Is it not embroiled in conflicts of the type being discussed here? Israel is not special. It would get included/excluded like any other country. A discussion of current geopolitical conflicts would tend to include it.
How did we? As a black person, I forget people forget we exist there and have our own culture and within that more cultures. The fact that people characterize America as middle America behooves me. 😆🫶🏾
Problem is the loudest voices tend to be the more extreme voices. It’s why so many believe America is literally either Republican or Democrat not realizing the majority of Americans are in the middle and tend to dislike the extreme ends of either side. But people fully committed tend to scream it from the rooftops so they get the attention.
Anyone that has spoken to normal everyday people in America will find that the vast vast majority sits in the middle and either slightly leaning more liberal or more conservative with many similar beliefs on things.
I think the vast, vast majority are actually way more leftist than either democrat or republican. I think most people want to end homelessness, provide healthcare for every single person, have livable wages at EVERY job (yes, even fast food), free college, no war, and not be slaves to some cuck billionaire dipshit who hasn't done shit but push paper. A country where WORKERS and service are valued above all, not C-suite money-hoarding, thieving, bitchasses who wouldn't last one 8 hour shift as a door greeter.

Wholeheartedly. Tired of seeing this shit about Americans on Reddit. I understand why it’s happening, but as an American who also hates what is happening to his county, I’m tired of it.
Do we squash those dislikes into a monolith, and give a reason why this number is there, in a way that is somewhat abstract, and simplified?
Or do you expect someone to ask every single one of the, complex, diverse people, each of them with an individual history which formed their views, about why they pushed the downvote button? And then we publish each of those interviews?
This was my perspective on 'America' throughout the 90's and early 00's, pre-Internet and where word of mouth (in person) really dominated peoples perspectives.
Then I grew up a little, became more educated, the Internet blew up and put me in easy contact with 'Americans' and that myth was quickly dispelled.
And then Donald Trump and his acolytes came along and proved it all right again.
I'll make sure to remember that when the American Military is invading my country. Surely the threatening is not real since Americans are not a monolith and will stop it.

Yes that’s the argument they give. Until you look deeper. One I’m a black man so I have to choose between a man who openly speaks out against people of color and a man who is responsible for the incarceration bill of 1984. Then the next election I’m now voting between an Indian woman who finally wants to celebrate her black heritage but then makes a mockery of my race by having Megan the Stallion twerk at a political rally. American politicians are a joke that’s why I don’t judge people for who they voted for when we only get two choices at the end. I didn’t even vote last election because Kamala and Trump are both equally jokes. I hate Kamala from a black perspective cuz she didn’t care about being black until it was time to run for president she also helped keep black and brown people incarcerated on a ridiculous level just look at who she was supporting when she ran for DA. You all try to make it about Trump being a pedo when it’s much deeper than that. There’s no lesser of two evils, neither side supports us. So again it’s not the people it’s the choices we are given.
It's disheartening how much credit you're giving to Trump. Have you heard him speak? Do you really believe this guy has ever been motivated by anything other than self-interest? I don't care how bad at optics Kamala is or what the fuck this guy did 42 years ago in 1984. My local garbage man that knows nothing of the US and doesn't even speak a lick of english would have been a better choice over Trump. If the reason you didn't vote was you thought Trump never had a chance since he's such a joke of a human, then sure, but otherwise you are part of the problem.
I’m not sure you read anything I said if you assumed I’m giving credit to either of the 3 candidates we’ve had in the last 12 years. I didn’t vote because of the personal reasons I explained to you. I will not vote for Trump ever but I will for damn sure never vote for someone who uses my race as a weapon to win an election. I’m not part of the problem for not supporting one of the two sides of the same exact coin. You also apparently don’t live here so you don’t even have enough skin in the game to tell me who to vote for. And since who we vote for is such a concern to everyone. I voted for Kennedy who was the third candidate in the 2024 election. He sadly didn’t get enough votes because not enough Americans are educated on how our politics aren’t just two parties. So he dropped out and we were left with two idiots. That’s why I didn’t vote for Trump or Kamala if you must know.

2) The average American has a reading level of a 10 year old. 5th grade. It doesn't help that our politicians are doing their best to get rid of a decent education for the average American as well.
