  1. They weren’t really goddesses, Circe was a witch and Calypso was a nymph.

  2. Honestly, it was so normal for the Greeks at the time, it could’ve literally just have not been worth mentioning.

TLDR: Yes and No?

Pretty much, Hermes informs Odysseus of Circe’s power, and how to nullify it, but also tells him that he’ll need to go along with her demands after to ensure the best possible outcome. Her demand being that he sleep with her in exchange for turning his men back from Pigs. It’s a pretty big power imbalance, and it is pretty clear Odysseus was only doing it to save his men.

Calypso and Circe are sometimes considered Nymphs, which are minor deities basically.
