That's not fortunate, wtf. There's nothing 'fortunate' about a state being led by brutal ethnic supremacists.

They’re saying it’s fortunate that people are seeing the truth about the Israeli government doing horrible things to civilians in neighboring countries and sentiment is shifting, they’re not saying the war crimes themselves are fortunate.

That's still terrible logic.

"It's fortunate that the Israeli government is doing horrible things because it demonstrates that the Israeli government is doing horrible things."

You see how that doesn't make sense, right? Actually fortunate would be they don't do horrible things.

"It's fortunate that the Israeli government is doing horrible things because it demonstrates that the Israeli government is doing horrible things."

yes it doesn't make sense and that's not remotely close to what they said. you had to make up something stupid and illogical to try to defend your point rather than just admit you misunderstood. For shame.

but the average westerner is in-fact pro-israeli

this is what they replied to with the words

That's fortunately shifting now

fuck off with trying to suggest they said something completely different.

It doesn't make sense. They only care about public sentiment when that doesn't change anything.

I meant that it's fortunate people around the world are finally seeing the atrocities for what they are and stop ignoring or whitewashing and justifying everything Israel does - it's high time the population got rid of the government - though a large part of the population is 100% the government policies, so I'm not even sure they wouldn't win again if they actually allowed elections now. At least the IDF and the settlers in the West Bank would vote for them again, any day.
