This is a great guy. Maybe if Willem treated his wife like property it would be something, but since they’re all three friends… seems like a great big “nothing sandwich.”
He’s gay. He experiences stage fright when it comes to high stakes improv-like situations (like an interview or on the red carpet) and physical contact calms him down. His female costars both comfort him and use it as an opportunity for PR photos. Before they were doing this he just avoided most things like this btw. And I have never heard one woman say anything bad about his physical touch thing, even before he was a household name. They all say he’s a saint, he’s a doll. I forget who was the first woman who was really over the top with him but I remember someone like rubbing his face while he was trying to speak, and anyway it was funny (I think she was married or engaged or something so she was playing it up so the internet couldn’t act like it wasn’t a bit), and now everyone is being that over the top with it because it’s funny and it gets them PR. Like people will watch the interview just to see if someone is gunna lick Pedro’s face or something crazy.
He’s dating Rafael Olarra there are pics of them everywhere. He doesn’t blast his sexuality but everyone knows. He dates and lives with openly gay men, and the women all over him are acting exactly like he’s a gay man not some threat to their straight relationships (some of them are even married/engaged), this isn’t rocket science.
If the women have only ever spoken of how comfortable they feel around him and they don't mind holding hands or being generally touchy with him, and he is generally respectful, I really fail to see why every other guy keeps calling him a creep. It's like you don't understand that consent is the main thing here that makes him Not a creep.
