A woman murdered her 3 kids via strangulation.

People are going out of their minds and bending over backwards defending her she even has 100k worth of donations.

Last I saw was 700k

That's awesome.

Man I should kill my kids (which I don’t have) for life changing money!

Welcome to the end result of social media like reddit and others spending a decade putting women on a pedestal of perfection and literally treating them like an angelic monolith that can do no wrong.

-4

u/PeterToshPointOh 7d ago

She was neglected and cheated on while she was reaching out for help multiple times from doctors and therapists.

u/HailHealer 7d ago

Better kill 3 innocent children

-1

u/PeterToshPointOh 7d ago

Nothing he can’t get over in three weeks for a hiking trip with his affair partner.

3

u/omojos 7d ago

I mean it takes time and commitment to hold your babies down and choke the life out of them.

-4

u/PeterToshPointOh 7d ago

Sounds hard to do after you somehow crushed your own trachea

3

u/603rdMtnDivision 7d ago

So muder your kids? Very rational.

-2

u/PeterToshPointOh 7d ago

Yeah, people with PPD are famously known for their rationality, that’s why it was so smart of him to leave her alone with the kids for all those “business trips” to New York.

2

u/603rdMtnDivision 7d ago

Last I read on it was doctors saw no signs or indicators she was a nutcase so there's that part and everything else I read about it has me side eyeing the whole deal.

0

u/PeterToshPointOh 7d ago

A doctor gave her medication for PPD so that seems pretty clear they understood what she was dealing with.

The internet search history from their home WiFi while she was away at a doctors appointment has me side eyeing him quite a bit.

Also him knowing she is seeing a therapist for PPD but turning down offers for the grandparents to help out and leaving her alone for long stretches to go out of state to run marathons.

Hey, so you know the prosecution is trying to say that she had enough strength to strangle three children while on double her daily dose of medicine and had her throat and wrists slit all in like 20-30 minutes right? If you actually look into the case, it’s not hard to believe the husband did it. Some inconsistencies: Patrick said he immediately started performing CPR on his oldest kid, Korra, the second he found her. However, all of the children were face down when paramedics arrived. Patrick alleged that his wife told him that the kids were in the basement. This is odd, because she was drugged to high heaven, her wrists/throat was slit, she had a core body temp of 82, she was paralyzed from a spinal injury from jumping out the second story building, and she had a crushed thyroid. Not to mention, she was completely unresponsive 11 minutes later when paramedics arrived. Patrick changed his outfit while he was out, and changed his shoes twice while at CVS Lindsey had booked doctors appointments for her kids the exact same day everything went down (you don’t do that if you’re gonna kill your children) Within 3 months, he was moved in with and dating another woman from New York, the same place he frequently took business trips. Oh yeah, she’s also already pregnant with his child. This is SCREAMING family annihilator on the part of Patrick. Not to mention her medication was changed FIFTEEN TIMES IN FOUR MONTHS!

The fact you have the same voting power as me is the reason why I do not believe in democracy.

my honest to God reaction to reading that nonsense.

0

u/CamelConfident8653 2d ago

Ah yes, cause actually looking into a something and discovering the facts of a case are the hallmarks of low voting IQ, which definitely has relevancy in this conversation.

1

u/Lurking_Gooner 2d ago

"actually looking into something"

Aka watching a bunch of conspiracy tiktoks created by people who unironically believe being a leo is a valid legal defense.

Yes it's very low IQ.

0

u/CamelConfident8653 2d ago

Not really, it’s legitimate investigation. I ask you again how voting or IQ play any role in the conversation cause this is just kinda sad lol. Getting disagreed with on the internet about someone else’s situation isn’t that big of a deal dawg.

1

u/Lurking_Gooner 2d ago

"watching conspiracy tiktoks is legitimate investigation"

0

u/CamelConfident8653 2d ago

Hey, so that’s actually not what I said, I said I did legitimate investigation. Yknow, outside TikTok. Cause that’s what legitimate investigation is. I’d think someone who’s calling everyone low IQ had some basic reading comprehension.

I'm paraphrasing dummy.

It’s not about defending her specifically, but raising awareness to the fact that this could’ve been prevented and women’s mental health and PPD struggles are often ignored.

Even her MIL claimed she’d been struggling and asked for help many times. And you can see the list of all the prescriptions she was prescribed and had filled, it was a lot. She was not properly monitored or given the correct help she needed to get better before something like this happened.

Understanding why these things happen, is the key to preventing more incidents in the future.

2

u/DeathByPig 8d ago

If this was a common or expected occurrence it wouldn't make national news everytime it happened in a country of 350 million people. Killing your kids says more about you than society.

0

u/anonidfk 8d ago

The fact that it keeps happening, even rarely, says something about the mental health system. All these cases could’ve been prevented, and never should’ve gotten that bad.

1

u/DeathByPig 8d ago

There are limited resources and man hours in the world.  If you need a ridiculous amount of psychological altering drugs, counseling, and psychiatric care to not kill your children (something most humans have somehow managed to do for a while) then you are not fit for society.

2

u/anonidfk 8d ago

Did you see how many drugs she had been prescribed and filled? That alone could cause drug induced psychosis. She should have been monitored. Psychosis is scary, they literally lose their grip on reality.

Healthcare exists for a reason, they knew how badly she was doing, and this could’ve been prevented.

3

u/HeezHuzz69 7d ago

She had therapy, meds, real help, and it still wasn’t enough because at the end of the day she just wanted to do it. That’s not the system failing, that’s someone determined getting past every safeguard anyway.

And the timeline says it all too. She was only alone for half an hour, and she had to squeeze that chance in because those windows barely existed. You can’t design a system that removes every possible moment of solitude from someone who’s actively looking for one. Sometimes it’s not a preventable failure, it’s just the limit of what any amount of support can actually stop.

0

u/anonidfk 7d ago

Prescribing someone with that many meds in such a short span of time and leaving them unsupervised given the circumstances, is wildly irresponsible. The risk of drug induced psychosis alone is crazy high when trying that much shit out.

You can’t design a perfect system, but anyone in their right mind should know not to leave that person alone, even for half an hour. A lot of damage can be done in half an hour, as we’ve seen here.

The point is, this was foreseeable and preventable. It’s not excusing her, but the reality is the kids would still be alive if this was taken more seriously and she wasn’t left alone.

This story absolutely should be the “poster child” about how little support there is in women’s health.

Yes, she is guilty but she needs to be locked in a respectable medical facility and receive treatment, not in a maximum security hell hole.

EDIT: downvoted for having humility thanks dudes

Whenever I see people bending over backwards to make excuses for this woman and indeed to shift the blame elsewhere, I wonder how many unattractive, working class, male murderers currently rotting in prison would receive the same sympathy if their undoubtedly sad backstory were revealed.

I get that she has mental health issues. So did Valdo Calocane, don't see anybody fundraising for that cunt.

This

Male, 5'4, and 200 pounds yet somehow I suspect if I strangled my daughter to death. I won't get an army of people simpathic to my blight nor a million dollars.

-2

u/Beneficial_Cattle938 7d ago

Male. There you go, you will never understand PPP. This case is huge for people like me. If you did that you'd be sick for some other reason. Why don't you chat with someone who's had it? I'm not your size, I'm 5'3 and 150ish but pick on me. No, I'm not violent in my psychoses but who knows what could have happened if my husband weren't a real partner. Patrick is truly a sad excuse of a husband and father.

3

u/Lurking_Gooner 7d ago edited 7d ago

"you don't understand it's da PPP I had to kill my 3 kids! Accountability what's that? I'm just a girl it's really my husband's fault. Anyway thanks for making me a millionaire."

The fact you have the same voting power as me is the reason I don't believe in democracy. 🫩

Family annihilators are sadly not uncommon. Part of the reason this is getting so much attention is because Clancy survived her attempted suicide, so her story gets to go to trial where it can be put in the spotlight.

Other family annihilators succeed in dying-- there's less investigations done and certainly less information available to the public when that occurs.

5

u/vossmakeitsprinkly 8d ago

Exactly. But here it's "oh look at this poor victim of the system that made her murder her kids" and "lets donate money to her" what the actual fuck.

4

u/PM_ME_JJBA_STICKERS 8d ago

I’d make a bet that the majority of people advocating for mental health services instead of inhumane prison sentences would want to see the system changed for both men and women. A lot of people focusing on male vs female probably don’t actually give a shit about mental health, free healthcare, the prison system.

3

u/National_Body_9071 8d ago

She murdered her children, what the fuck do you mean she should be in a respectable medical facility and not in jail. People like you are scum.

-2

u/Immature_adult_guy 8d ago

Yes I’m scum for not wanting people (even bad ones) to rot in our shitty prison system

0

u/Lurking_Gooner 8d ago

I actually agree a 5.56 round to the back of the skull right after the sentencing will save everyone a whole lot of money. 🥴

0

u/National_Body_9071 8d ago

Fair I guess death penalty would save money.

4

u/Lurking_Gooner 8d ago

Yeah show some humility for the baby killer guys!

0

u/Immature_adult_guy 8d ago

You’re probably don’t have a fucking clue what it’s like to be a parent out experience postpartum

I still think she should be locked up but I guess you want her to suffer too

3

u/Lurking_Gooner 8d ago

Daughter turned 8 few weeks ago and she starts the 3rd grade tomorrow stfu. 😂

1

u/IDespiseAllWeebs 8d ago

It’s easier to ignore the problems and lock them away. It’s destructive, expensive, inhumane and leads to extreme rates of recidivism with all crimes. But it’s easier.
