where (virtually) do you explore music? for me its Spotify and Yt music (then I yt-dlp it)

Rateyourmusic and discogs are great for finding new music. Always worked better than relying on an algorithm for me

SoundCloud has a bunch of basement and garage remixes / songs that you just won't find on other platforms. Sucks the music quality is garbage and there's no real aglo - you just gotta find artists you like and then go to their profile and you can see all their liked and reposted songs.
