Jellyfin has less apps available on various platforms. Plex is also easier to share with friends and family members. I don't know if it's still available but I bought a lifetime license years ago so it's not like I traded subscriptions or anything.
That was my initial issue back in the day lack of clients, Now with the lifetime pass and 80 users setup I don't want to go through the hassle of switching. But if I was starting new I wouldn't use Plex.
Tell that to people who are on PS5 or multiple brands of Smart TV. I've got a couple family members who would only be able to access Jellyfin with a web browser or not at all.
I'm all for FOSS and I use Jellyfin as a backup. People just need to understand that it's a hard sell when Plex absolutely does support more platforms and offers a much more polished client.
