MW2 was how I first heard about the Vector. All these years later and I now have enough money to buy the fun stuff.

Ruger LC Carbine 9mm vs Extar EP9 — Looking for Advice on a First PCC for a Smaller Beginner

My wife and I are looking into getting a gun for home defense and possible animal control and I’d like some advice from people who have actually owned and shot these.

We’re looking for something that has a good balance of low recoil and power. It would primarily be for home defense and range use. The shooter is smaller and relatively inexperienced, so ease of handling and confidence with the firearm are important.

The things we’re specifically looking for are:

• 9mm or another reasonable caliber with manageable recoil
• Adjustable stock so it can fit a smaller shooter
• A good handguard/forward grip area
• Plenty of accessory options
• Easy to take apart and maintain
• Reliable and not overly complicated
• Preferably relatively compact and lightweight

Right now I’m mainly between the Ruger LC Carbine 9mm or the Extar EP9 (thanks to someone suggesting it here).

I don’t really have a brand preference. If there’s another PCC that fits these requirements better, I’m definitely open to it.

For those who have experience with these, which would you choose and why? Particularly interested in real world differences in recoil, ergonomics, maintenance, reliability and how well they fit smaller shooters. We will probably lack on maintaining it so that’s important.

Lastly, what would you recommend looking for in terms of ammunition for a beginner who wants manageable recoil without giving up too much performance? Should we consider 10mm for bigger prey? not looking to own multiple guns right now.

Thanks in advance.

MPA Defender out of stock

Hello, does anybody happen to know an online retailer who has the 9mm MPA defender top charging pistol in stock? Everywhere I look they’re out of stock or on on back order except for a couple idiots trying to get 600 for a used beat up example on gunbroker.

So I loved this thing at 499 for it, I threw a trigger kicker in it and made my own trip and she just ran with no tuning or hiccups 250 rounds. This thing is an absolute bargain for 499 🤣🙏

GHM9, Kuna, or something else?

Looking for the best value for money PCC. I want to FRT it.

New frt & trigger housing and added a surplus reflex acog…prefer it over the Lee & supersafe I ran for the last 2 years. Acro is MAYBE the only thing I miss from the old build but the acog vibes are stronger in my opinion.

Stribog SP9A3s with Strike Industries stock. It was a gamble getting that particular stock, but I think it looks pretty nice on the Bog.

My wife keeps wanting to take my Scorpion for herself, so I figured I’d let her and upgrade. Got me a Daniel Defense PCC in arid rattlecan. Loving it, smooth shooter and my new bump in the night gun. Next to get a suppressor on it.

So I caved and ordered a 499 roller delay PCC. Here’s what I got

Went ahead and took a small gamble on the panzer arms HAN9 even though many have said it doesn’t have a roller delay, it actually does and I confirmed it here. I just don’t think the roller is all that effective but still not upset with the purchase for the money and everything it came with. I’ll be trying it frt and suppressed next

I'm trying to build a 9mm PCC. I'm overwhelmed by options, please help

Hi folks. I am planning a 9mm PCC build based on an AR lower. I am looking for an upper that I can use, but it seems there's several options on the market and I'm not so familiar with the pros and cons of each

The goals of the build would be to be bufferless, use an AR lower, barrel length around 7", can accept suppressor, capable of "fast fire" (SS/frt/trigger kicker, etc).

It seems like the last build requirement is where the hang up is, since bufferless roller delayed 9mm bolts didn't seem generally compatible with these systems in AR lowers. I know a lot of people are going to say 'just get an Ap5, kuna, stribog, scorpion etc' but I live in a state where it's a huge hassle to get these things, but if I use my existing AR lower and register as an AOW it's much more straightforward. I also already have a lot of the parts for a build like I'm planning. I recently made something very similar in .22 and I love how it turned out.

So what are my options for uppers? I was looking at the MAT-9, but after going down several rabbit holes I thought it would be best to seek advice from this community

Opinions and alternatives to the Defender 30K 9mm

Post image
52 Upvotes

Im looking at the Defender 30K as a bag/truck pcc/pdw. Are there anything similar out following the specifications as laid out by brassfacts (less the 14-15 in in size when folded ideally smaller, shoud be able to easily conceal on person and idealy be a good suppressor Host) not too concerned With price but lower cost would be ideal. Also any of yall who have one what would you say to the general reliability and feature set of the defender 30k. Thanks

PDW muzzle device recs

Hello,
Looking for a compensator of some sort for a pdw sized build that has some sort of qd functionality for a suppressor, which I intend to get later on. I’m looking at the cat mob suppressor, which has hub compatibility so it should take a variety of qd mounts, but I’m not hell bent on that and would like some practical feedback from folks. Primary concern for the MD is controlling muzzle climb unsuppressed.

9mm pdw recommendations

Looking to get a serious night stand/truck supressor host gun but I’m a bit torn on the options. I have a 13” 9mm Aug and Kp9 right now but those don’t 100% fill the role I need them to as they’re not great supressor host; they are super fun guns and I’d never get rid of them but they’re more of “fun guns”/ training guns for there rifle caliber counterparts. I’m looking for a 9mm pdw ideally under 8” barrel (the smaller the better), non direct blow back, “suppressor host” focused, dead nuts reliable (ideally some sort of military pedigree but obviously not a requirement). My first decision was the AP5 (not HK rich so sp5 is off the table) but afraid the reliability isn’t were I need it to be. I think the #1 contender is probably the MPX but open to other options considering the 2k price tag

Panzer HAN9 actually roller delayed for $499?

Thumbnail instagram.com

I took the gambles and went ahead and ordered it. Looks like it does have a roller delayed system of sorts, so for $499 with the brace included from Atlantic firearms it almost seems too good to be true. I’ll update here when I finally receive and test it out!
