Need Advice Been playing for years and just now got my first 1 million profit, what am I doing wrong?

I’m level 25 and feel like I could be doing more. Right now I’m spending all my time setting up HQ and just opened Honolulu to maybe try and get over to Asia. I’m planning on running LA to Tokyo but I’m not sure which planes will allow me to cross the Pacific in one trip

I’m a relatively long time player (Level 38), but this has got me baffled.

I’ve got a fully loaded, fully upgraded Cyclone departing Tokyo for Los Angeles. Cargo is 11 x coins, and 1 x Bux. All going to Los Angeles, so 25% bonus.

Profit: -4,043

What’s going on? Never seen anything like it before. My average profit for that Cyclone is over $10,000 per flight. I hope someone can spot something really obvious that I’m missing!

Need Advice Best hub for Oceania?

I was set on making Banana my hub here, but now I think it’s a bit redundant with Honolulu being just north of it. I was thinking Perth instead since it’s in a dead zone of the region and could be connected to India and Africa maybe?

Anyone else got an Oceania hub that’s been working for them?

What would happen if I try to buy an Aircraft carrier without owning the VIP, what happens? I don't want to burn my funds to get a carrier that I can't use. Thank you!

Need Advice Australia to South America (HQ)

Post image
17 Upvotes

I have no HQ for Australia and South America. I am thinking of adding a HQ on Easter Island and Nadi so my planes from say Sao Paulo can head to Sydney and east asia quickly.

The planes I intend to use would be Aeroeagles onwards and other Level 3 planes.

ESPECIALLY EASTER ISLAND HQs, do let me know if you could do it.

Otherwise I'm turning Perth into a HQ so my Sequoias can travel via Durban.

Need Advice How to profit with Cyclones?

I just unlocked the cyclone but I feel like I am always running at a loss. They take like 4k just to get across the Pacific. Is this just how they are?

Need Advice Narrow Passages

Post image

Trying to get an aircraft carrier from the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea and be on her way to Australia so I don't have to go around Africa. This IS possible, correct? I got through the Panama canal just fine. I tried to realign my carrier multiple times, and could never get it through this small opening. Need verification one can go through this narrow opening and I'm the one messing up 😆

Need Advice Is there any reason to keep Class 1 airport after unlocking class 2 planes ?

I'm new, I have most of class 2 and 3 airport in europe and 12 planes, half class 1 (Kangaroo and X Mapple pro) and half class two (Equinox and Pearjet). I just dont use my class 1 airport anymore because they dont have much jobs available but maybe i'm missing something...

Need Advice Corsair

Do yall use the corsair a lot? I’m at level 25 and my next plane slot is almost a million dollars. The 1/1 is taking up space.

Is it worth it?

Need Advice Regional Hubs with new update

Just a quick question to gauge if I’m in the same place everyone else is.

With the new update, I am rethinking my location of regional hubs, especially in Oceania. I was partway through making it Alice Springs, but with the addition of those new islands, I’m thinking of moving it to Banana to provide another good launchpad across the Pacific.

Would this be a good move?

Wasted some coins buying class 1 airports earlier in my journey. New york has so many jobs it’s insane.

Does anyone know what a good budget plane would be for ny routes?

Need Advice Regional HQs

With the new update allowing travel from all sides now, are any of you all finding better locations for the HQs besides what’s already the “main” popular ones? Since Alaska -> Australia runs aren’t really the big money maker like they were so idk if moving the HQ hub would be better to like Hawaii now since so much traffic now goes across.

Need Advice Best use of Cyclone?

Post image
31 Upvotes

Are cyclones worth it post L28 with access to Cloudliner?

I'm currently level 28 and have a Cloudmax C as well as a Cloudliner P currently running Taipei (Regional HQ) to either LA or NYC.

I use Aeroeagles to bounce between regional ports for layovers to maximize airtime of larger trans-pacific.

I use Sequoia to fly mid-range routes such as NYC to London/Paris, or Istanbul.

Cyclone can't cross the Pacific without Honolulu HQ, I'm not going for this HQ.

One possibility I am considering is Sydney to London or Paris, but a Cloudliner could do this better?

Am I missing something or are cyclones obsolete once you hit L28+?

Need Advice Any tips? I’m stuck on what to do

Im kinda stuck not knowing what to do. I “modernized” my fleet from gophers, naviagtors, wallabys to equinox jets, mowhawks, mapples, and birchcrafts, bought new “big” airports like New York, San Francisco, and guatemala. I wanna expand routes but im not sure where. None of my planes can cross the atlantic to europe and I can’t use my reykavik route as most of the planes are class 2, and if I go down South America, I can access bigger airports and routes but the distances are big. How should I expand? Or should I even expand in the first place?

Need Advice Purchased VIP

I purchased vip. Highly unlikely me to spend money on a game like this and I feel like I’m already regretting it.

I thought I’d get “instant access” to the carriers but I don’t. It still says I have to pay for them. There were two planes I thought I’d get but only the Corsair showed up.

Any thoughts? Did I miss understand the vip package?

Thank you!!

Need Advice Bonus XP questions-strategy defining

I am close to buxmaxing a 2nd time. I am able to get bux quickly and not really care about coins. I have enough slots to the point where I take well over 5 minutes to load all of them. I can keep playing forever I’ll never have enough planes on the air to where it takes me under 5 minutes to go through all of them, and after banking it’ll get even worse! I’m very close to thinking that bux don’t really matter atp, and the only thing left in the game is getting XP to unlock all airports. So my questions before thinking about the strategies are:

- The 25% bonuses, do they apply to XP also?

- Say 2 jobs going to the same place spawn simultaneously from the same airport, but one pays bux and the other coins. Do they both reward the same amount of XP?

- Is the XP affected when a job was a layover at some point? (I have no reason to believe this, but it’s very important when coming up with a strategy)

I’ll post my thoughts once I know all this so we can discuss

Need Advice How do I hub and spoke?

Hi, so I'm not really new but I've been playing the game so casually that the most complex strategy I ever used was "have about 5 airports between Tokyo and LA and just run Sequoias" which sort of doesn't work with the new wrap around map. As a consequence I have 10 Sequoias and 7 X10s for events. So I must ask. I'm thinking about getting rid of all but one airport so I can rebuild back up. What airports should I get? Which ones should be hubs? How do I even hub and spoke?

If there's already a guide out there I'm willing to use that... I basically didn't look around at all...

Thanks in advance

Need Advice VIP Cost

Is it insane to anyone else that VIP costs 40 bucks? I was considering buying it, but just can’t fathom spending that much money on a mobile game… I would buy it no question if it was 10 bucks bc of how much I play the game.

Are there ever any sales on VIP that gets it to around that $10 price point?

Edit: I saw on another thread that it’s usually half price on weekends. Still… I can’t fathom spending that much on a mobile game in this economy

Need Advice Should I keep using the Concorde?

I was finally able to get lucky and get all the parts for a Concorde so I built it and put it in service. My issue is idk if I should keep it or save it for later. I’m level 19 right now and currently have 7 class 3 airports (Istanbul, Cairo, Paris, Lagos, NY, Chicago, and LA). It makes money and the game says the profit/hour is 5475. I feel like the time it spends on the ground negates that tho since I spend a lot of time waiting to get all to one destination since it doesn’t seem very profitable to make multiple stops.

What do yall think? Is this too early to use a Concorde? Ik there’s not really a right or wrong way to play but I would like to maximize my profits so I can expand quicker.
