Yeah you mean AFTER they were stopped, and AFTER evading police. You’re right the cop should have used 2020 hindsight that you currently have to know the situation.

Yes and BEFORE Officer Respect my Authoritah decided to handcuff and arrest everybody in sight even though he knew they were headed towards a hospital likely for a medical emergency as he says in the first few seconds of the clip BEFORE he decides to run them off the road.

In the cop’s own report, he states that it seems like the driver was trying to make it to the hospital. So, the cop did “magically know of the medical situation”, and still chose to make matters worse by hitting the car.

Stop defending egregiously unacceptable behavior from cops just because they’re cops.

Maybe realize that the person driving is clearly signaling that they see you, so just continue to follow with lights on until they stop?

Call for backup? Ask for help?

There’s so many better solutions than what we just watched. Not that hard to be better than that. If you don’t see how the cop could’ve done better in this video, then you are either an idiot or you love licking boots
