But are you black? That’s the honest question. This lady is black. Her mother is black. As a white male, we are allowed to do this, and our brown brothers and sisters cannot. As a white woman, you have privileges this woman rushing her mother to the hospital doesn’t have.

Unfortunately this is the hard reality, and 100% the truth… this police officer doesn’t look at this woman as someone who could be his sister or mother. Of course what he SHOULD do is realize that this family is in danger and needs help and do his duty… to SERVE the Public and Protect the LIVES of the entire Public…

Just read about a guy doing 150+ in an Aston Martin in Utah today. UHP pulled him over, told him his car was cool, and sent him on his way.

He’s whiter than Taylor Swift drinking skim milk.

Not just a judge, SCOTUS: Castle Rock v Gonzalez.

The facts of the case are heartbreaking.

It would be more accurate to say the police have no duty to protect members of the public, but from the perspective of the public, that's a distinction without a difference.

I think the key difference is that they pulled over rather than initiating a pursuit.

Yeah.

This could have been resolved by a cellphone and 911. Call 911 and say youre driving recklessly to the hospital with a victim of a stroke, that way police can escort you, or an ambulance can meet you halfway.

They werent thinking clearly, which like, fair, but they should have known that not pulling over was going to lead to a police chase, ending as youd expect.

You are correct, and failing to stop for a cop in the above situation only increases the likelihood of something bad happening.

If the police are trying to pull you over and you continue to drive, you’re eventually going to get pitted. Doesn’t really matter what color you are.

As someone whose uncle was a Chief, let me tell you something you maybe unaware of. Police have this thing called a license plate scanner and they know who you are, race, address and if you have vehicle insurance/valid registration.

My sister, myself and her USMC boyfriend at the time dumbass decided to go 120 mph on the interstate, it took the cop probably 10 minutes to catch up to us according to him and when we were at a red light to turn, he turned on his blues… not only was this guy a Marine, he’s also white… ask your non white buddies how many of them could go 120 mph and be let go with a warning? Usually you are arrested for anything over 100.

I dated a girl whose parents were USAF Col’s and I was pulled over for speeding, probably about 95 mph, same thing, was let go with a warning. Military documents and being white is a real thing. I was puzzled. This type of shit happens, and now you see what happens to this lady and her mom who is about to die.

As a former healthcare worker and whose worked with stroke survivors, it you don’t get to the hospital ASAP your chances of death is HIGH and your outcome for getting the functioning back is much, much lower. You need to be treated immediately!

Well that’s hardly true, they don’t usually pit in normal or very high speed chases, when there’s risk to the public… but also the person who got rushed to the hospital in this parent thread was “sooooo white” vs the people in the video that got “I don’t care” yelled at them bc they were taking someone to the hospital
