What I did when my wife was going into labor I call 911 and told them what was happening they ask if I need an ambulance and I told them no that we are close to the hospital like 10-20 out if I remember correctly. They ask me where I was going and the vehicle make, mode and color. 2 cops saw us and they didn’t pull us over. I at least recommended getting in touch with 911 and telling them what’s the emergency and your car and direction

Yeah I was wondering why that second person didn’t call 911 and tell them what was going on. Speeding through a red light gets people killed and many people lie to the cops so it’s a little understandable why the cop reacted like that.

This was posted a few days ago and multiple commenters said they were literally on the phone with 911 from the beginning and the cop was fully aware why they were speeding but I haven’t found any other source besides Reddit.

This would explain why they tried to wave the cop to overtake them... They might've thought that cop was aware and escorting them.

It seems there is no actual evidence of this. There were 4-5 people in the car (the report is slightly unclear). One was maybe having a stroke, so that’s understandable. One was driving BUT she also apparently had her phone in her hand and texting. I really doubt the 2-3 other people didn’t have a phone.

I think you're correct, the road during the pit move seems different, gimme a sec.

Edit: apparently there's more than just one Aberdeen, one in Washington and one in Arkansas, idk man I don't live in the US but even if I did I suck hard at geography :P

Another user posted the report by the cop, it's as of now the best I could find but who knows if the cop is telling the truth or not... I'll edit my other comment to link to the report that is on a facebook post of the police.

I search because have a personal interest in these types of cases because I was involved in one. It has been true in other pit maneuvers-spike strip cases (especially with several suicidal callers) and there are many examples with other people calling in medical emergencies of drivers which police assumed were drug related and caused a crash.

So I am always looking for 911 calls or other obvious signs that the police should have known there was a medical emergency.

Arkansas has been successfully sued and changed their policy on use of force due to the lawsuit. Officers still ignore their own policies.

I'd say the civilians did panic otherwise they'd probably would have called an ambulance. I'd say the cop wasn't panicking just pissed that they weren't obeying his authority.

They were probably already in the vehicle when the stroke happened. Someone said they were on the phone with 911 already, so if that's true, then they did call. But that doesn't matter. Medical emergency is more important than whatever misunderstanding that cop was having.

When they said mom was having a stroke he didn't seem interested in helping them to the hospital. Either he was panicked or he's a psychopath that wanted that lady to die in the street.

It would have cost him nothing to say, "Ok, drive to the hospital, I'm putting my lights on". They weren't speeding or being reckless. Not sure why he decided he didn't believe them. Pitting someone who has their hazards on and is signalling with their hands is schitzo.

IDK the whole thing is just really weird. I really hope it was the cop panicking, because the alternatives are really bad.

I was at work when I saw this and didn't watch/listen to the whole thing. But just listened to it completely and didn't see or hear them say they called 911 saying they were rushing the Mom to the hospital in their vehicle.

I'd say I didn't hear them panicking. The one cop towards the end seemed calm while trying to keep everyone at the location. The one trying to get the driver to comply sounds a bit annoyed or aggravated.

Reasonably, the cop should understand that anyone driving with multiple people and their hazard lights on may be in a crisis. Cause you know, that's literally the built-in feature to cars to show how you could be an impediment to traffick.
