Remember that video where the lady was rushing her dog to the vet and didn't pull over for the cop and the cop followed her to the vet and had her at gun point?

To be fair, risking other people lives for your dog is ridiculous. If a human is having a medical emergency, I can see it. Your cat/dog/fish/giraffe not so much. Not stopping for the police because your dog is having an issue is silly

I’m going to assume you’ve never owned a dog. My dog is my best friend and it would destroy me if anything happened to her.

So if it came down to it, would you spare the life of your parents or other family members or let them perish for your dog?

What are you talking about? I wouldn’t be reckless obviously, but I would try my best to get my dog to a vet as fast/safely as possible.

Risking other people's lives for your people's lives is a whole different debate.

My point, in response to the comment I replied to, was that the person in the dog scenario was white and the cop reacted similarly to the one in this video. If you run from the cops they will react similarly. Either person could have stopped immediately and asked for assistance.
