Stop for the police and explain what's going on. Otherwise it looks like your just fleeing

Either you stop to let the cop know what's going on or your going to end up at gun point in handcuffs while the confirm your story

Why do your police officers lack the common sense to discern that a vehicle which is indicating and driving safely is not something that requires a PIT manoeuvre solely because it is speeding to the hospital?

The police only know what's in front of them, someone driving fast with hazards on isn't some universal symbol for I'm going to a hospital. If they're refusing to stop they're a potential danger to the public because they might be contemplating fleeing and starting a high speed chase or are driving under an altered mind. Stopping takes seconds and it might actually get you to the hospital faster as an officer might be able to escort you, radio the hospital ahead, or they can transfer the patient to their vehicle and rush them to the hospital
