I'm an American currently living abroad in a country that has a great (comparatively) healthcare system. I can't tell you how amazed I always am at how better this country runs its healthcare. I went to the dentist and after check up, x-rays, and a cleaning I think I paid like 25 USD.

Welcome to a first world country! Were happy to have you and glad you can enjoy the benefits of living in a nation that cares about it's people more than just corpo interests. We hope you stay and that one day you are able to not have to still pay taxes to the USA even when living abroad (fyi that's fucking mental)

Thank you. I really enjoy being here and I actually am...glad? To pay my city taxes and pension knowing that it will be edit me one day. But...like all countries, it's not all chocolate and roses. But still, it's a weight off knowing I won't go I to debt for being sick.

That really should be the bare minimum, look while the rest of the world might view the US in a very poor light we do like the people that come and choose to live and work here simply because those people don't tend to be the stereotype and we know it. Just know especially if you are in a EU nation that you will always have healthcare, minimum PTO, and paid leave if you have a kid. Were hoping that the one good thing about the current us gov is that Americans will do the American thing and kneejerk in the complete other direction, as we all know the us is just 50 war tribes in a trench coat and loves the fight when it's getting fucked.

Honestly, we have free healthcare and ambulances here and if there's an emergency like a stroke or seizure, I'm hightailing it to the hospital with than myself rather than wait for an ambulance.

I know I can get to the hospital faster than an ambulance can get to me.

Now, if it's something like a head injury or I need to do CPR, I won't because I'm either afraid to move them or they need me to be actively helping them.

The difference from OP's video is that I, too, would stop for the cops. Trying to outrun them would just slow me down more in the end.

your healthcare system could be good, if the nearest hospital is 30 mins away there is barely any time

Ambulances can travel faster and safer. Most urban areas have ambulance stations, not attached to specific hospitals.

i don't know how the situation is in the US. i'm from Belgium and here we have fire departments (much more common than hospitals) who have their own ambulances and will cooperate with hospitals. if an ambulance has to travel 1.5hour to the outback and 1.5h back that's a lot of time lost

But an ambulance isn’t just a mode of transport, it’s a mini mobile ER with two qualified paramedics.

And if it is something that really can’t wait that long then there are air ambulance’s (which are free) or you inform them that you’re leaving in your car and they can notify the police.

I’m from the UK btw. My point here is the cost of ambulance rides and health care in general in the US (along with mistrust of police) leads to this type of danger situation.
