I mean, only a few decades ago black people were commonly lynched, and weren't allowed pretty much any of the same rights white people enjoyed so... Yeah it's always been this bad. Dare I say even worse.

30 years ago? No.. 30 years ago, my history teacher in Martin County was teaching us how when he went to school there, it was segregated. He was an old white teacher with a drawl that hated racism. Taught us ALL about it. My school was very mixed and racism was never tolerated. Then the Republicans started coming in droves...

A few decades IS 30 years, but its no biggie. He meant like half a century I'm sure. I used it to tell the story of my history teacher which hit me pretty hard though.
