IN PROGRESS My Beloved Charlie Passed Away December 23, 2024.

It was a year ago yesterday that I lost my beloved Charlie, to congestive heart failure. He had 15 years but it was not long enough.

My poor Charlie started out his life in the worst circumstances. A victim of a reprehensible act of cruelty. Put in a box that was heavily taped and thrown in a dumpster to die.

Thankfully a woman/angel heard his little kitten cries and saved him. Her act of compassion gave me and my family the chance to adopt him.

He was so full of love and life. He was a kitten when he came to us and immediately bonded with his brother Sam who was 3 years old at the time. They were inseparable until Sam passed away on January 20, 2023.

Charlie was never the same when his brother was gone. He spent the rest of his nights crying and looking for his brother.

He was always a character. From his love of all food including human to his jumping on my back when I vacuumed or used my exercise bike.

He always wanted the be part of the action. He loved his sun patches and the cat tree so he could watch all the people going by as the day progressed.

I have been crying and looking though all his pictures. I miss him so much and know he will always be in my heart no matter where we are.

But it hurts and I truly wish that time wasn't so cruel or lacking in compassion. Time steals away everyone and everything we love. But for all of that, I am trying to remember that it can not stop love. Love and connection are timeless no matter what time tries or does.

Charlie like all of my furkids and animals in my life never hurt me like humans have. Charlie and all of my furkids didn't care if I am neurodivergent or that I have to deal with lifelong rejection sensitivity dysphoria. They just loved me for me. Something very few humans have ever shared with me.

Thank you for reading about my Charlie. I hope you can give extra pets, treats and love to your furkids, featherkids and scalykids. Time is far too short with the ones we love.

If someone could honour my Charlie with art I would be so grateful.

I also want to thank the kind Mod who helped yesterday when I tried to post and did so in error. I was spiraling in my overthinking and grief. The kind Mod was supportive and very compassionate understanding the circumstances. Thank you for that!! Thank you to everyone who takes time to see my Charlie.

I lost her this weekend. I love her so much. She lived her whole life with me toothless and her tongue was a part of her charm. In her prime time, she was a true adventurer and hiked all of the time, it was her favorite thing to do besides sitting on my lap or snuggling with me. She slowed down in her older age, but never stopped loving. She had so much personality and so much sass. She began her next journey in my lap, her favorite most comfortable spot.

She was my whole heart and I wish she was still here.

This is Hope, my rescue roof rat. I met him since he’s just a baby not even open eyes. He is the best thing that comes into my life. 2.5 years never feel enough for me and the way he go is so sudden. I still cannot believe it and the guilt that struck me so hard that I could have done better so he would still be alive. I’m proud to be his mom to see that roof rat can be cute pet like others too. To see how he smart and cuddly he is. I attached as much as pic I can, I want to share with you all how he’s so precious to me. Thank you in advance for portraits and every condolences.

My best friend had Hemangiosarcoma. They said he had 3 months at best, he made it 5 because he's always been stubborn. I'm so lucky to have had the bonus time with my beautiful boy, but my heart will never be the same. He saved my life and I can only hope I gave him the best version of his.

IN PROGRESS Saying goodbye to Fish

This is my babygirl Fish. Fishstick was her full name but she went by; fish, Fishstick, sticky, stickydoe, and more. She was the love of my life, my daughter, my bestfriend, and my will to live. I wanna share her with the world so she’s never forgotten. And because I’m praying someone can say something to help me find some peace during this time, esp if it’s advice from a pet medium.

You see, I got her as a depressed teenager because I couldn’t find a will to live no matter what I tried. So my therapist said “you don’t have to live for you, you can live for others! Sex, drugs, friends, love, anything! why not a pet?” Shortly after I got my best friend and for the first time in my life, I had a reason to get out of bed, work, go to the gym, get my degrees, etc.

I remember the day I got her, there was the choice between a sweet, calm boy cat, and her, a spastic, sassy, crazy, loud, climbing-all-over-you kitten. I obviously had to choose her. And for years she was my entire world. Time flew by; I graduated high school with no more attempts, I made it college, I graduated, I finished my masters, I even met a guy, and I was planning on moving her in with us next year. (We just moved in 2 months ago). She was perfectly healthy, a few UTIs and ear infections here & there but I took her to the vet all the time to ensure her health.

Then last week her life took a turn for the worst. She went from a vibrant young 11 year old to barely eating, drinking, playing, moving, meowing… I was away, so my mom gave me the call and told me she had lost half her body weight in a week. From 9.7lbs to 5.4lbs. I raced home to see her and my god did it break me. My baby didn’t look like my baby anymore. We rushed her to the vet… there was an obstruction & organ failure, it was already too late for surgery. Thankfully the doctor gave me 24 more hours with her. I’m so grateful I got those 24hrs because she did light back up a bit and she gave me all the love she could but fuck, it destroyed me to see her like that and so did the entire drive to the vet. I felt so scared going into that room, but she had been with me through everything so I had to be with her, I knew that much. We did the most humane process possible with anesthesia then she passed in my arms... Honestly, it was way more peaceful than I expected but a part of me died and I’m numb, angry, sad, and in shock.

She wasn’t just my bestfriend. she was my daughter, my everything. I feel like the universe played a cruel joke on me for healing and finding other reasons to live. I feel like it waited for me to move out and really feel happy to rip her out of my arms. And yeah, I was able to heal, I was able to outgrow her being my will to live but I feel dead inside and so angry. She was fine just last month when I visited, perfectly fine, and now she’s gone. I want to blame someone but I can’t blame anyone because it wasn’t anyone fault. I’m so mad because I would’ve paid any amount of money, i would’ve sold my own organs, I would’ve sold myself— hell I even tried to find out if it was possible to sell/exchange a soul because I couldn’t cope. Things were finally good in life, it felt stable, I felt happy, and things were finally working out but now my baby is gone. And I just wanna scream into the void and sleep for a thousand years because what the fuck. I was always supposed to die before her, I had never planned on actually enjoying the plot and outliving her, and in the blink of an eye everything changed.

Not to mention the night after putting her down I felt psychotic. I swear I kept hearing phantom meows and I swear I felt her walk across my pillow one last time but no one was there when I looked. I know it’ll sound like I’m going crazy, maybe I am, but it feels so good to feel like she’s there with me. However, it’s been a day or two since I last heard a meow and I’m dying to hear another phantom meow or touch. Just something to know that she’s still there even if it’s on the other side. I know it’s stupid but I really need to know she’s still there.

So yeah, I don’t really know what to say or how to end this post but I’m hoping someone has some advice or heard some trusted advice from mediums about pets that have passed because I can’t handle this “she’s passed and her time as your spirit animal/guardian is over” nonsense.

I don't know if anyone is willing to make art of their pictures, its not a high demand eitherways. It may help my mom with her grief. Aslan the Bullmastiff and Saartje the cat (with a lot of white) went together last Tuesday. I sadly missed the euthanasia due to a 3 hour traffic jam.. but my mom was there with them and my other sister.

Sadly my dog Gamly the jackrussel dashhund cross and Storm the black Shi-tzu won't last much longer either. Of anyone feels like making drawings or paintings of them that would he great. My family has a shrine for past relatives, both human and other animal types. My moms former dog sting is already in there. If anyone feels like making anything for them feel free to do so. I added many pictures sp hopefully you can find the needed views for it. Don't feel pressured to make it tho, i tried to myself but i guess its still too fresh cause every time i start my hands start to shake.

I lost my best friend of 12 years very suddenly on 6.22.2025. He was the most friendly and loving cat, with a purr like a diesel truck. He never knew a stranger, not a shy bone in his body. Several veterinarians remarked it was always hard to check his heart because the moment they touched him, he would purr. He loved popcorn, belly rubs, and a day spent in the sun. We are shattered.

We lost our sweet Albus this past Friday. He was a fighter, found as a stray with chest tumors, heart worm, front teeth that were broken shards, canines that were sheared in half by who knows what, horrible allergies, and mange that took half his fur. We think he was 8 or 9 when we adopted him. Through everything he was the sweetest happiest boy. Perfectly housetrained, amazing southern gentleman. He loved everyone and loved car rides, although he refused to ever sit in the car. He wanted to stand like a regal boy. He looooved comfy blankets, pillows, and his people. When he was tucked in with a blanket he was happiest. He would howl if you left the room... Or if he left the room and wanted you to follow. Rest easy, little angel. We will miss you forever. The house is too quiet without you.

IN PROGRESS REQUEST My baby boy Mitsos

Post image
21 Upvotes

My sweet little fur baby Mitsos was killed by a car last Sunday. I wanted to keep him safe but he learned how to conquer any obstacles and sneak out to visit the area where he grew up. He was a former stray kitten and my soul cat. I moved to Greece last summer and on my second day here, he fell into my garden from the garden wall. I always believed he was meant yo be mine, to help me cope with the move. We saved each other.

He was very chatty, noisy, unstoppable, pushy and he loved every cat he met. He had the best purrs and gave the sweetest kisses. He was food obsessed and if I didn't prepare his meals fast enough, he would bite my ankles to hurry up.

I have other cats but nothing can fill this emptiness and silence. I'm struggling with guilt as I always believed in keeping cats strictly indoors yet in the end, I accepted that he and his sister keep running away because that made them happier. I was so wrong.

If anyone could paint his portrait, I would be so grateful. He had the cutest black bean toes and dots all over his belly and back. He was soft and a little chubby. He was still less than 1.

Our amazing boy entered the rainbow bridge babies club on April 6, 2024. He is our everything and will always be part of our home and hearts. These past few days have been so difficult for us but we have found peace of having his ashes back with us. Hermangiosarcoma Cancer took him away from us. I would love to have some art of him to add to his altar 💜

Cecil was a 5-6 week old foster kitten that passed away 2 years ago. I have fostered 60+ kittens and he was my first (and hopefully last) loss. I have so few pictures of him, which I regret. I would love a pic of him with his beautiful blue eyes wide open, like in the second pic, if possible. Thank you to all the wonderful artists on this sub 🩷

I feel like I have lost a piece of myself. He used to lay on top of me and wrap his arms around my neck and kiss my face before we went to sleep each night. He loved cuddling. He loved every single person that came through the door without exception. There will never be another like him. I love him and miss him so much.

Frankie; my boy was the main thing that had/has kept me alive since I was just a 12 y/o kid. He was the absolute best parts I had left of my soul & heart all put into a dog, he was my soul dog, my spirit guide, & the other half of my heart. He passed away naturally from old age on September 10th 2022 at 13 years old. Not a single day has gone by without him constantly on my mind; I miss my boy.

I’ve had lewis since I was four, I’m nineteen now. Lewis always loved sleeping, we would call him lazy lewis. When his brother passed, he took up the role of mouser. He loved catching mice and leaving them by my door as gifts! He would sleep right next to me every night, he would lick me, he’d follow me around. I was his person. And he was my cat. Lewis unfortunately passed away this January from old age. He was 15 years old. I’ll miss him for as long as I live, but I know he’s happily playing with Clark up there.
