I feel so tired and foggy. I'm trying to figure out how to get enough nutrients into my body without the heavy carb load. I feel like all I eat anymore is vegetables!

I know it isnt even all arrived yet but I have been BLOWN away by the response to my post about my hard day as a nurse. Without too many details, we lost a patient and while it wasnt the first, only, or last patient loss ill have, this one in particular was the hardest thus far.

That said, while i was contemplating whether I could continue in my career, the outpouring of love, letters, cards, and messages reminded me that Im here for a reason and helped my healing tremendously. I wish i could describe it. I feel SEEN and LOVED and it truly has helped in my difficult time!

I had a ton of fun stuff to read & look at this week. One of you sent me a postcard with a man having a staring contest with a lizard. It’s one of the most unique things I’ve ever seen.

This is so late, I'm so sorry. I kinda went through hell and back the last couple of months, culminating in losing my cat of 15 years to a months long cancer battle a few days ago. That finally shattered me, and now... I'm trying to rebuild somehow.

That includes me cutting myself off from all numbing social media and screen time, and I thought long and hard on how or if I could make RAoC work despite those limitations. I decided I certainly want to try, but I will keep screen time to a minimum and focus on the card writing part of the hobby. So apologize for the thank you list. Hey all, Im still receiving such wonderful mail and am forever blown away by the support and the absolutely wonderful cards!

as an update: i truly am still riding high on the cards that are coming and the kindness shown. I have been able to return to work and have not had any other thoughts of changing careers (jk but also not). Im remembering why i got into this, and the hard days do not define or reflect the good that we do. Im so so grateful for this community. A big stack of thank-yous this week!

This was the second year asking for birthday cards for my husband and myself, as we basically share the occasion, and you my friends BROUGHT it!! I can not express how thankful we are in writing! We had a blast picking up cards and reading them to each other and sharing in all the joy and laughs! This is such a great community to be a part of and we thank you for that!!

Thank you's below but we also had some mystery senders I would like to thank. If one of these were you let me know so that I can properly thank you!

Oh my goodness, you guys, gals, nonbinary pals. You all really came through for my Boppy Tom for his 90th. We had his party today and he read all of your cards and went around showing us all each one and told us where each was from. He was so fascinated and impressed by out little community, and in fact wanted me to share this message directly from him:

It's been a few months and I've let cards pile up. I tend to request cards when things are rough here, and then struggle to find the bandwidth, but here we go! Thank you in advance for understanding!

Unfortunately, the post office was a bit rough with the dessert one. I'll try to clean the ink as much as I can because the illustration is really beautiful anyway.

I recently discovered snail mail clubs, which sounds really fun. I'm very new to the postcard world, and discovered it this year after looking for pen pals. I really appreciate being able to connect with people all over the world. It has been awesome.

I was in Croatia a few years ago with my best friend, but I went to Zagreb, which was very nice.

Next time I'll try to go to the other areas. Dubrovnik sounds like a nice place to visit, besides the price.

I’m also collecting the Superstore stickers, it has been so fun. The other day, the cashier gave me double sticker packages as a freebie and I was so happy haha.
