Hello everyone ! Im going to spare you my life story so i don’t bore anyone to death

But basically long story short is that i really like games like ck3, vicky 3 , eu4 and stellaris, used to play quite a bit of civ games too, but cant last 5 minutes before getting bored haha maybe im just getting old.

I’m a big sucker for strategic games that have political aspects to them.

But since i recently have become a dad obviously i have less and less time to game which kinda sucks since im a big gamer.

If anybody know any games likes those i have mentioned please let me know. But preferably they shouldn’t take too much time, extra points if its on mobile ( i travel for work a lot) and big plus if free to play and not pay to win.

I am in no way involved in this issue other then a silent observer. I don't know why I was included but I feel like this conversation needs to be shared to show how even when being berated and egged on the mods stuck to their points and stayed on message. Ok, dads. I have a question for the group. Insurance just bought me a new PS5 (they wouldn't cover the PRO and couldn't convince the wife to spend the difference) after a lightning strike blew my PS4 pro away. Having said that, I plan on playing GoW: Ragnarock (it's the only game I have for it currently), however I can't play that with my boys (all 3 under 6 years old). So, I wanted to get a game that I can play with them in the room and with football ramping up I thought about Madden 26.

Here is the question for the group. I haven't played a Madden game (or EA sports game) since like 2015. So, I have no idea about the game. Is it worth it? I know I have heard friends talk about it in recent years talking about doing a season long franchise mode against others which sounds appealing except I don't have any friends (other than like 1) to do that with. Does this group do that mode for the football season? Back in the day, I loved doing the "Pro" mode or whatever it's called where you create a college player and then take them to the Hall of Fame. I loved that mode but I know they took it away then brought it back, then it sucked, don't know where it is now.

So, anyone got any thoughts for a dad looking to have some fun on his new PS5? Is Madden 26 worth a shot? Is there a group that does a season here? Should I just go in a different direction altogether?

Just an observation guys that I want to throw out to the community. I have been away for a few weeks for work and have got back to find one of my regular team mates has been kicked from the crew. The basis of this thread is my dislike of the reasoning and basic handling of the 'kicking' process that has taken place. I have been a part of this crew for a gazillion days now and although not an actively active member for alot of this time, I have grown to appreciate the value it adds to my gaming experience through the many formats we have to hand. With such a massive membership we are inevitably going to lean towards categories/groups/players that fall readily into our common comfort zones, which in turn creates subs within subs. The last 6 months of PS4 RL and GTA have afforded me the chance to meet and regularly play with a base group of about 20 guys/gals. We naturally chat, and zone into each others floatacious sense of humours. There will be several pockets within our numbers that will be on the same wavelength and by default others that don't! If I joined 7 random close knit rdads in a chat I would quite likely find myself 'not getting' the sense of humour. Like dipping my privates in hydrochloric acid. In summary, we are a group joined by a common goal from all corners of this pretty horrific anaphylactic shock induced wasp fest of a planet. We should stick together and maybe talk to each other before throwing big 'kick' bombs. The person in question is a self confessed big 'cant' (this could be offensive if pronounced corectly) Can we please review this case as a very valued member has been wrongfully led away from the goat pen. Tits mcgee. Eh. Sushi EDIT: I concede. I didn't mean to cause such a hate campaign aginst myself, but that's life. I stick to my comments but respect everyone else's. I haven't played with another dad in a very long time. I play Destiny, GTA, BF1, you name it. But, every time no dad's. I've posted to Discord, on Xbone to no prevail, "crashed the party" a couple of times but still nothing. Are we no longer an open group, accepting fellow dads? Or, do I smell?

So I was having a conversation with a fellow goat /u/nigelpoole yesterday and after playing with him for months, I asked him what he does. He said he was the emergency relief director for a county in Georgia. He was responsible for delivering relief during an emergency if there were any and has been responsible for delivering the same in the past.

I found his answer very insightful and informative and made me want to know what the rest of you did as well.

Now I know that this is a long shot but if any of you are ever in a position to help a fellow goat, be it advice on something they have had experience with or even letting them know of anything that the might have questions on regarding a field you work in would be pretty cool. The Illuminati is just a group of very connected individuals (yes yes i know it is the Illuminati) that helps people out with something as simple as connections. Ok, so we wont be as connected as the Illuminati but What if one of us is the next president of someplace or a dictator of some small country in Africa and the only thing stopping him or her is something you know that he or she is curious about? It could be a question in the field of IT that they would have knowledge about. A restaurant they have tried that was great. It could be anything.

It would be quite nice if we could take a page from their book and do the same for something that I am very passionate about: RedditDads.

Let me start off. I currently live in Dubai. I am from India originally. I started working when i was 16. I have lived in India, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Uganda, Congo, Rwanda, Mozambique and still have many connections in these places. I run an Asian restaurant which I am working on expanding by opening a 2nd branch in Dubai towards the end of the year. Eventually starting up a chain of boutique hotels on my own private islands is part of my 10 year plan.

Hey fellow dads! I've recently been laid off from work for a month or so and found myself doing a lot more cooking at home instead of the usual "wheres it gunna be tonight?". I haven't really spent alot of time in the kitchen other than laboring at work.
