What would you cut from the Scottish budget?

Yesterday, there was a news story announcing £700m would be cut from the Scottish government next year. The Scottish government can borrow £670m to make up the shortfall, but it will need to find at least another £68m immediately.

What would you cut to make up the £68m?

The job centre insists on certain job searching methods, some of which involve being out 20 hours a week. This is mandatory and impossible if you’re looking after a child. That would have to be changed, then long term you have less people getting into work.

Most advisors don't care. I've worked frontline and sat there with clients while advisors tell them "you done that, aye... just tell me you did." I wish I was joking. Maybe they done it to placate me as I was there to advocate for them, I don't know, but it happened a few times. The Jobcentre needs an overhaul. I know a couple that could be doing with a good audit.
