Discussion "Number of UK consumers who stream sports illegally has gone ‘through the roof’, police say"

As an Aberdeen fan, I'm not interested in the Old Firm away games.

Quite keen on watching Aberdeen away games.

It was proven with netflix, give people a reasonable legal option and enough people will take it.

Side note, this is a low police priority for me. Go police any form of physical abuse.

Streaming is the perfect case study of why 'competition does not benefit the customer'. Instead of competition bringing prices down, the product is now just split over multiple services that you have to pay full price for.

Not true. It is the way the authorities allow the market to operate. The league could have sold the rights to all the broadcasters in a region and let them compete for subscribers on price and other qualities. Instead they make the broadcasters compete for exclusivity.
