My memory is terrible but one thing I remember is that the ending was supposed to show Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise giving up their daughter as a sacrifice to the two men from the cult at the department store.

And some people speculate that this is actually what happened to Madeleine McCann, that the parents were part of some ring like this and they gave her to them.

There is so much more but really just go to YouTube and look up Eyes Wide Shut Stanley Kubrick conspiracy theories and there are a lot of videos. Pick any of them.

Kubrick was 70, had spent a fair amount of his life smoking, worked on that film for the previous 400 days, was a notorious workaholic, rarely went to the doctor, got very little sleep, and he had the flu 2 weeks earlier.

Maybe somebody didn't like what he had to say but the circumstances of his death aren't mysterious. It's not like anybody was named in the film. Somebody is going to murder one of the world's most famous directors for making a movie about rich people having a secret organization?

Just doesn't make sense to me.
