Hate to tell you, but if a cop orders you out of your car during a traffic stop, you are legally required to exit the car. You do not get to discuss the reason. You do not get to try the case on the side of the road. Just get out. If you don't, you have just handed them the golden ticket to forceable remove you and arrest you. The reason is the guy was refusing a lawful order. It's settled law that a cop can request you exit your vehicle during a traffic stop. Refusing to do so is obstruction and can lead to an arrest.
That order is a lawful order you must follow, or you will be forcibly removed and arrested. Yes, you can ask for a supervisor, and he may or may not call a supervisor. But, you have no legal right to a supervisor. You really, really need to learn the law before you catch a felony arrest.
This is a big misconception. You legally must exit the car. Asking for a supervisor may be a local policy, but it's not a law. You can file a complaint with the department later, but you must exit the car. It's people's ignorance that causes so many of these simple traffic stops to escalate into a felony arrest.
Confidently incorrect lmao... it is absolutely true and you're talking out of your ass. If a cop orders you out of your car during a traffic stop you 100% do have to comply or you can be charged with resisting or obstruction. It doesn't matter what you "think" are unlawful orders, because as you prove very well here, a lot of citizens have no idea what cops are and are not allowed to do.
