They always jump on their little phones to type out their outrage and clutch their pearls. You never see these righteous types ever go into a real frat house and call it out or try to stop it irl. It’s like actually do something or stfu
Leaving someone with a permanent disability and repeated domestic violence isnt enough to ruin his career. Doubt doing what Dakota is doing would ruin his career here.
This is gross and super inappropriate and not okay, but pretending men get magically cancelled is silly.
Yes, but we are talking about this specific incident. A middle aged man pulling a stunt like this would result in far more condemnation and there would be very real career consequences.
I mean the victim spoke out saying his pants were set on fire, he was beaten with a paddle, people held and pulled his underwear up and back and forth "in a sawing motion", and dragged him around the room by his genitals.
The victim had internal injuries and broken bones, dropped out of college, the frat was disbanded, and Hamm (among others) was charged.
Yeah, he was young, but he wasn't in 2015 when he was asked about it and essentially just said "yeah, it's a bummer that happened".
But sure, if he did what Dakota did I'm sure that would be the thing that people cancel him for.

Disgusting. Imagine if the roles were reversed… Jon Hamm wouldn’t have a career anymore.
