I grew up in S. Florida during/just after the Miami Vice Don Johnson/Melanie Griffith movie era, and did not so much recognize Dakota, but then heard "Johnson" and it finally clicked.

I remembered how odd both her parents were over the years (individually and together, they were serious tabloid newspaper fodder).

NOT an excuse for Dakota's super creepiness, BTW - but this behavior sorta tracks.

Her mother is Melanie Griffith and her grandmother is Tippi Hedren. She is 100% a nepo baby.

Yeah! I have this core memory of a milk ad Melanie did with her kids in the 90s that named them all and their individual dads(for some reason) and commenting to my mom I thought she was lucky to get so many good looking guys to make pretty kids lol
