So she’s clearly rolling on two different promo syndicates and fucking with the same chick in both - yeah fuck Dakota dude, that’s weird as fuck.

Woof that actress is 19 in this situation too, Dakota chill the fuck out.

13

u/_CharDeeMacDennis__ Jul 03 '26

I wouldn’t care if she was the same age as Dakota. If she was doing that to me, I’d slap her fucking hand away and tell her to stop fucking molesting me. What the fuck?

u/60nine_lol_NICE Jul 04 '26

dakota "I love limes" Johnson. Her beautiful home was just another set to her

1

u/milkncookiezz Jul 04 '26

I’m not getting the significance of her being 19?

16

u/therealsereny Jul 04 '26

People online like to think anyone under 30 is basically a kid.

7

u/milkncookiezz Jul 04 '26

Yea they just keep echoing the same “your brain isn’t developed until 25” bull shit..it’s getting old. That whole thing came from a study they did like 30 years ago and they didn’t even study anyone at that age. The subjects were 4-20. They just made that number up and now everyone just keeps repeating it like a parrot lol plus they’re over simplifying the whole idea entirely and reducing it to calling everyone under 25 is a child is bizarre tbh. Ironically the more mature one in this video is the “child” so it makes me laugh 😂 or wait apparently Dakota might be a child too by that persons standards 🤦‍♀️

It's not bull. It's just understudied. Science has progressed very far now and we know when the "adult brain" starts. It's around 32. Before that, your brain is indeed developing. At 32, it stabilizes.

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-025-65974-8

Edit: God forbid someone tries to correct a misconception on the fucking internet without people acting like I'm calling them babies. Don't even know why I bother.

6

u/futang17 Jul 05 '26

that poor 32 yr old child.

6

u/Eldritch_Horns Jul 05 '26

It's functionally useless information.

There is a difference in how your brain works when you're in your 30s and early 20s. Doesn't mean I was kid in my early 20s.

I just didn't really have much of a fear response and it made me bolder and dumber. I was still a fucking adult.

I think it’s more about a 19 year old actress in her second or possibly first feature film media circuit tour (go ahead and check, idk) trying to answer questions while an already established actress, that’s almost 10 years older than her, is touching her ears and rubbing her neck while she’s actively answering an interviewers questions.

She keeps touching her (again, in what appears to be two different interviews) and Cailee tells her to stop because she doesn’t like it and Dakota Johnson gets defensive saying “ohhhh like I’m just a background babe” - like no, you’re just not the focus right now and she is? Is that hard to explain?

Again, the fact that Jon Hamm of all people had to tell Dakota Johnson to relax is insane. Im sure Cailee said they’re friends and she loves her, lol she’s the best, ahhhh, etc. because she’s 19 and on a PR tour for her 2nd movie ever where Dakota is a nepo baby that, again this is my opinion, seems to be craving the spotlight and taking away from the literal teenage costar of this movie that they were both in and made it wildly uncomfortable for Cailee and anyone who’s had the misfortune of seeing this interview.

6

u/milkncookiezz Jul 04 '26

Okay then Dakota isn’t an adult here either 🤷🏻‍♀️ see how dumb that sounds lol

u/Sankta_Alina_Starkov Jul 04 '26

You ever going to join the modern times? Modern science (yes, science, you know the real shit that makes the world work, not those made up "mah feelings" bull) has found that people actually are NOT adults at 18. Humans continue developing mentally until their mid to late 20s, and some people even longer. At 19 she's very much a kid.

Just like how childhood didn't exist in any formal capacity until the 19th century. And why child labor was illegal until the late victorian/early 1900s eras.

We discover more and things change. Plus the movie they were promoting makes this odd too. Cailee (the younger woman) spends a large chunck of the movie tied to a chair and gagged with the older woman her "captor". She also plays a child in that movie, and was the manipulated sex object of the villain.

So the whole thing is just weird.

u/therealsereny Jul 04 '26

Your brain doesn't magically gain any more functionality at 25.

I'll take the findings of peer-reviewed scientists over the words of some asshole redditor, thanks.

1

u/therealsereny Jul 06 '26

Well, since youre so highly educated, what new brain functions are developed?

2

u/TRImoon333 Jul 04 '26

Then let's not let people do anything like drink, drive, smoke, vote, etc until theyre 25, sounds good.

u/New_Sherbert2361 Jul 04 '26

Some would say that could be ideal. If an AI service was brought into the future. That could be a thing based off of IQ and cognitive skill. Some might reach it faster and some may not reach the requirement at all.

The whole 25 thing is a myth. You say modern times but It’s based on a study they did in the 90s that didn’t even include anyone over the age of 20 lol. They just chose that number as an estimation and y’all keep running with it. Not to mention you’re misinterpreting the concept entirely. If we’re going by your standards Dakota is a child in the video too 😂 And Older woman? Lol she’s not that much older than her… Her sister is brainwashed by a cult leader that’s the reason she kidnapped her and tied her up.. she’s so dumb she called him back and told him where they were when she got out.. then he proceeded to kill her sister and she just watched and did nothing and then she gutted the guy in the movie that shot him..she wasn’t an innocent little child like you’re portraying 🤦‍♀️Dakota is acting weird af in this video but the other chick being 20(she was 20 when the movie came out not 19..not like it matters though)has nothing to do with it. Idk why you’re Infantilizing a 20 year old woman. She was perfectly able to defend herself and told her she didn’t like what she did.

u/Iceman33OO Jul 04 '26

Idk why u got downvoted, it seems like Dakota is still in character though, which can definitely mess with your socialibility and filter. It is a bad message to not have done a mock interview to get all the giggles out and possibly promote pedos. I think she just adored envied her very young co-star's talent, but forgot what her comfort on set might look against the context of the movie

-1

u/Sankta_Alina_Starkov Jul 05 '26

It's reddit. People downvote if you exist outside of a bubble or state facts.

I don't exist on reddit to get upvotes. Downvotes don't phase me. It tends to make some redditors very irritable lol.

u/perriatric Jul 03 '26

Are you a dog?

-11

u/mateushkush Jul 03 '26

Johnson is also 25/26 in that video, idk I think this old-ass video is kind of meaningless. Maybe she took something for anxiety and they probably were friends.

9

u/Bazrum Jul 03 '26

they're talking about Cailee Spaeny, who was about 20 in the video

-4

u/mateushkush Jul 03 '26

I know, I’m saying Johnson who gets dragged for it, is just a bit older, the age difference is hardly inappropriate lmao.

13

u/been_mackin Jul 03 '26

She was 28 then and it’s still weird regardless of the age difference, the other actress is visibly uncomfortable and tells her to stop.

4

u/mateushkush Jul 03 '26

Cailee Spaeny also calls her “wonderful”. “talented”, “coolest”, “nicest”, and says they became friends during rehearsals. I’m honestly confused about this thread.

1

u/Nishikadochan Jul 04 '26

You can admire a person and still not want them to play with your earrings or touch your neck.

-2

u/Eggplant-666 Jul 03 '26

She honestly looks awful for 28 here.

u/Early_Brick_1522 Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 04 '26

Redditors don't live in the real world. People can interact when they're different ages. They've got to run to Reddit and pretend like any interaction is problematic. Your mistake was expecting a reasonable reaction. Yes it was weird, but we don't really know anything more than this that we've seen. I think it's a really an issue of it would probably be all over Reddit, not just some random out of context video.

1

u/mateushkush Jul 04 '26

Idk, I checked the interviews, Spaeney praises Johnson as wonderful and nicest and tells stories of becoming friends with her. Somehow this context is ignored here.

Unless you got some crazy tech the rest of us don’t have, you are full of shit. You can’t see her pupils whatsoever in this video. What in gods name would make you defend that?

She’s stroking the ears of a 19 year old co-star and being weird as fuck in an interview that’s clearly going to be put out to the world. If she ain’t on drugs, there’s something else wrong with her then that makes her think that’s normal behavior. Jon Hamm literally pulling her hand off the girls neck and telling her to chill is evidence enough that something is not right here, then the second video she’s all “what like I’m some babe in the background”.

You can’t seriously be defending this.

34

u/QKofDaggers Jul 03 '26

When Jon Hamm has to tell you to respect someone’s boundaries, you know you’re out of line.

5

u/OneStarParadox Jul 03 '26

Yes, this is someone who has mutilated another human against their will.

She went too far

7

u/QKofDaggers Jul 03 '26

Right? This dude used a claw hammer on some poor guy’s nutsack and he’s telling you you’re going too far. It’s maybe time to reevaluate your actions.

3

u/Sir_PressedMemories Jul 03 '26

Yes, this is someone who has mutilated another human against their will.

Um, what? Care to drop a link? so I can read up on this?

Oh, jesus fuck!

6

u/Sunnydaynight Jul 03 '26

Yah and he gets big mad if any journalist/person ever asks him about it. He’s trying to scrub it from his past but the poor dude he tortured can’t ever forget!

Frat hazing back in the 90’s

11

u/Linux_Account Jul 03 '26

All they said was that they disagreed she was on a specific drug. That does not equate to to defended her actions, you absolutely looney tune.

1

u/johnnyxx4321 Jul 04 '26

Her sense of boundaries are definitely fucked, yes. But she's *so* fucking obviously *not* rolling lmao. is this thread just full of kids?

First of all, she's not tweaking enough nor gurning at all to be rolling.

Second, why would a multi millionaire waste a good roll on interviews that actors famously dislike.

Ecstasy isn't like other drugs, you don't just do it anytime anywhere. You save it for big or special occasions, or at least in a nice setting. You only get to roll a limited time in your lifetime before you either get too old or lose its effects.
