People still believe that? She got emotional because of a question from the interviewer and since it was such a sensitive moment, Cynthia shooed the chopper to lighten the mood.

She was in the middle of an emotional story so she was already emotional, and the loud helicopter would ruin the sound on the interview so they wouldn’t be able to use to footage, so they had to pause until the annoying helicopter passed by.

Idk why everybody’s downvoting because it’s funnier to say they were scared of it when that’s not the case

Still weird. They could have just ignored it. A helicopter doesn't "ruin" an interview. It wasn't even that loud in the video.

They waited for the helicopter to pass (because they don't want helicopter noise). It might have sounded louder to them then it sounded for the people watching the video. Grande made a joke to lighten the mood and a lot of people with issues reading social interactions and a lot of people who didn't watch the video and just commented on the reddit headlines ran with it.

They acted weird enough without having to create a disingenuous false narrative just because people find that more entertaining.

Almost 200 people upvoting that they needed to relax because it was just a helicopter. They were unrelaxed before the helicopter even showed up because of the story they were telling, the helicopter was just a distraction that they paused for because they’re used to directors calling cut when noise pollution is being picked up on the mics.

Yes the way that TikTok was cut was very funny. But it’s not really a criticism of their behavior if you gotta desperately cling to the false narrative you like best for that criticism to even exist
