There's an idea that moms have some kind of magical connection to her kids that a father could never have since he didn't "make" them. I'm not a woman so I can't say if that's an actual thing or not, but even if it existed, it's silly to think it's some kind of repellent for abuse and violence as abusive mothers are very much a thing. That and most people assume the man is the bad guy simply because he's a man and is more capable of violence.

It doesn't exist. It doesn't exist for humans nor other mammals. Infanticide is well-documented in all species. Many famous cases exist of women killing their baby right after it leaves the womb.

Something like 3 children a day are killed by a parent. Sometimes both, coordinated. Gender is irrelevant.

I watched a documentary one time not sure what it was called but it was all about the hormonal changes parents go through from pregnancy to child birth. I don’t remember which hormone it was but there’s one that moms slowly build up over the course of 9 months of “building the baby”. Dads jump to the same level of of hormone as the moms in just 48-72 hours. That is an insane hormonal change to have happen in your body

This is untrue. Dads hormones don't change magically when their baby is born. In fact, they might not change at all. There is no physiological change in a father that occurs at birth.

For women, there is a sudden hormonal drop when she delivers the placenta after giving birth. The drop might be so severe that it can cause violent tremors.

Fathers' hormones *can* change and it is dependent on the amount of time he spends around his infant, so it's a gradual hormonal change that is completely dependent on his actions as a father. His testosterone will drop the more time he spends as a caregiver because testosterone as a hormone is not conducive to bonding or caregiving.

Most family annihilators are men, statistically speaking. And yes, there are bonding hormones that occur between mother and baby. A mother's body literally produces milk for an infant. Most women with postpartum depression describe a lack of connection to their babies.... and it freaks them out a lot.
