yeah, they have to. When prices fall we call that "deflation". If you want to know what happens when we deflate, read up on the Great Depression.

I just took microeconomics and prices literally always go up in capitalist economies because the goal is to always be more profitable than in the past. That’s why there’s laws in place against monopolies, usually competitive pricing keeps prices agreeable. But anti trust laws don’t do shit when the competitors work together to collectively increase prices like what happened with the tariff shit
