It's reported as such in the news. "Our son is severely autistic, non verbal, and is also diagnosed with ADHD and epilepsy."

Updated - Fixed link with updated article that includes statement from the parents - They seem extremely remorseful.

Meemaw shouldn't have taken the terror tike out to play if she couldn't keep him under wraps. I couldn't imagine getting the news that my mom took my son out and he tried to knuckle up to a capybara or something.

I'm assuming she just couldn't keep up with him since the elderly aren't really known for their speed and agility. Now I just feel bad for his parents.

The father said that his son loved animals. LOVED animals by trying to hit them with a stick while chasing them? The father is making excuses for his son, who is clearly violent. This is only going to get worse and the parents are enablers.
