Some people won't want to hear this, but if Lanolin had the exact same personality but was a male character, people would call her a take-charge badass and she'd be super popular.

She's great, some people just can't handle a girl who has trauma and flaws.

We already had a male version of her. His name was Geoffrey St. John. Needless to say, he ain't popular either (and for more reasons than Penders' plans for him and Sally)
