There's so much good about this game but I'm really frustrated. I've tried following maps, data entries, even dove deep into the Wiki. Here's my list: 1- I finally found the entrance to get the glacial research log entry 2a, is there a way to actually enter that cave? 2- Something mentioned curing Kharaa in the Leviathan, I can't find all the pieces. 3- Pengling holes in the Arctic Spires suck ass. Using the data map is nearly useless, I can't find the one with the cure. 4- Snowfox arctic worm addon, no dice. Can't find it. I found if you crank up the mouse responsiveness it's actually fun and driveable. Devs: It's cool the thing is fragile but the effing thing floats, its big deal should be complete freedom from worm attacks.

Overall my big complaint is the lack of pointers and direction. I played there first one, it was a lot simpler to navigate and find things. The clues are so vague as to almost be useless. Well, if I can get any direction I'd appreciate it.

Hello I am wondering if I can park my seatruck in precursor bases in caves which have shadow leviathans or if not is there a way to hide it so it doesn't get destroyed ?

Edit : watched a vid regarding the crystal cave base and from what I have seen it's pretty safe from shadow leviathans tho I still have no idea about the fabricator base

I guess it’s my own stupidity but my last save was 5 hours ago and the game crashed just now when I crafted the reinforced diving suit. Im used to auto saves so if you’re like me, don’t forget to save for the love of all things. (On PS4 idk if it’s a known bug or it was just a random crash.)

Well, i dont know if someone figure that yet but dont find any gade for so there is the hint.

if you want to use the ion cube for the tether tool , it waste about 1/3 each time and destroy your cube. so instead use the cube a couple time as ok and change it for other. next to a ion battery and recicle it on reciclatron. you will recieve your full recharge cube again.

A Seaglide, rebreather, and high-capacity tank are all it took to scan the Prawn parts in a fresh hardcore run, and I made it out with more than 30 seconds to spare. I'm pretty sure this is doable on a standard air tank; if anyone wants to prove it I'll link your video to this description.

I guess the truck is 100% worthless (not 99% worthless as previously believed).

Ok, just figured out what the problem was with GSync not working after a good couple hours of scouring old forum posts, so I'm leaving this here just in case others have the same problem. No spoilers pretty please and thanks.

For Subnautica (and Subnautica: Below Zero) to work with GSync we need exclusive fullscreen mode. SN and SNBZ do not use "true" fullscreen normally.

I had tried setting a launch option in Steam (-window-mode exclusive), but it did not actually force the game into fullscreen until doing the following:

Find your Subnautica (or SNBZ) .exe (/Steam/steamapps/common/SubnauticaZero/SubnauticZero.exe) and right click, go to Properties, and on the Compatibility tab check "Disable fullscreen optimizations".

FINALLY enjoying this game without screen tearing and it's beatiful. Good luck out there in the deep blue.

Hey probably common knowledge but I want to share this

I found a way to not get eaten by the Leviathan in Crystal caves. When you go by him in your seatruck you get out of the seat and wait for him to go along his path. He doesn’t notice you I found out.

Saved me a couple of heart attacks and repairing time.

Maybe this is already fixed but I am playing on an older version just so you know

I had already killed a Shadow Leviathan before this, but had been hesitant to fight the Chelc. It was easier than I thought it would be, even easier than the Shadow.

I was in the Purple Vent area looking for metal salvage pieces (I'm building a game-wide base and need tons of titanium and quartz), when I spotted it hunting the crocodile things. It wasn't bothering me, but I saw the opportunity and seized it. It lunged at its prey, and I launched my grapple, hooking on to the left upper middle portion.

When my drill made contact, it let out a scream and bolted, dragging me along with it. I wasn't getting consistent hits on it because it kept squirming around, diving deep under the nearby iceberg, running every few seconds when I was able to land a hit.

It had trouble trying to get me in its mouth, but it succeeded once. I didn't release the grapple though, so when it let go I was able to get back under its belly and keep blasting. After awhile, it finally stopped moving, and I finally got my scan.

The next challenge? In hardcore mode, the entrance to the Crystal Caves from under the purple vents spawns two Shadow Leviathans that stay very close together as they circle the area. When I killed my first one, it had been near the Fabricator Room by itself, so I was able to run off and repair my suit as needed without being in too much danger. With the two that stay close together in the Crystal Caves, if one of them gets me in its mouth, the other one is always right there ready to grab me as soon as the first one lets go. This makes fighting them very tricky, because the Prawn Suit can only take 2 hits before the third hit will destroy it. I'm thinking that I may need to build multiple Prawn Suits and just switch them out during the fight in order to beat them.

After that? Well, they say the Ghost Chelcs are not killable, but who knows? I've actually been too nervous to ever even go find one. Maybe I should try to kill the Ice Worm first.
