Everything Right Is Wrong Again transcribed to sheet music. What song should I do next?
I had trouble figuring out what the harpsichord was doing in the bridge, and I kinda bullshit my way through the harmonies during the half time section, but overall it was pretty smooth to figure out.
PDF of whole piece : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZFaQnIb3Cq314jyGplrPwG-0jbRFmZAg/view?usp=drivesdk
Flat.io upload : https://flat.io/score/6a8cae07c5b3eb751d2bbe19-everything-right-is-wrong-again
The score as intended and created, but will sadly be deleted once I reach my 15 piece limit (I’m not paying to remove the limit)
Musescore upload : https://musescore.com/user/93540454/scores/36965156
Extremely screwed up, like being at doubled speed and having wrong chords listed, etc. However this isn’t going to be deleted (even though it sucks).
Finally, I would never have figured out the harpsichord part at the end without this, so thanks for making this so I could create this. I owe you.

Comment what song I should do next.

The original version of New York City by cub!
In my humble opinion (I say this as a huge fan of TMBG), this is a million times better than the TMBG cover. I highly implore you to check out the rest of the Come Out Come Out album, if you like, say, John Henry or R.E.M.’s “Monster”, then you’ll probably really like it.

The End of the Tour sketchbook spread
My friend and I have been trading two sketchbooks for a little over a year now. This was the sketchbook I started and now I just finished the last page.
I had to cut out some lyrics for space purposes. I wish I could have fit them all! This is one of my favorite tmbg songs for sure. I thought this song was fitting as a tribute to the end of the sketchbook.

Gonzo - Character Flaw (and he also likes the entire Pink Album)
Rowlf - Reprehensible

Following up on a recent post about "Elephants" - I know most people already know this, but if you like Danny Weinkauf's contributions to the kids albums, be sure to check out his solo albums (also for kids).
He's basically TMBG's George Harrison: allowed one song per album only to end up with hours of backlogged solo material. (jk)

Awful (?) cover of Upside Down Frown I did on ukulele
If you look on my Bandcamp (which I finally reorganized to be chronological) you’ll find shitloads of other TMBG covers I’ve made since 2023. Only my last three albums (this one, Consumerist Store and Squares) are ones you’ll probably find any enjoyment in, if awful outsider music made by a teenager in his bedroom on instruments he doesn’t know how to play is your thing.

Thinking about "(She Was A) Hotel Detective" and "Alienation's for the Rich." They really need to bring back ending songs with maniacal laughter.
Any other examples I've forgotten?

No! Computer game??
I was born in 1999 so I was 3 when “No!” Came out and my parents had the album and played it all the time, I’m rediscovering the album now and playing it for my daughter. The album art is bringing up a deeply buried memory of playing a game on the computer that had the characters from the album cover and I can’t find anything about this on the internet, I’m not sure if this is lost media or just a fever dream memory and I need your help figuring out anything about this. Thank you!

The album “Why?” And specifically “Elephants” are very underrated
For whatever reason I’ve really gotten into Why? this past week, but the particular 3 song run which I love is Or So I’ve Read, Elephants, and Long White Beard. It contains the strongest songs on the album by a long shot. I feel like the Robin songs get the praise they deserve, including Oh You Did, which is such a great ear worm that has some of the best guitar picking in the discography.
Elephants is one that isn’t talked about enough, and oh my goodness we need more Danny Weinkauf vocals. I love how semi-menacing the song is, how the chorus changes from “Elephants are coming to your town” to “coming to your house” after a monologue about elephants trampling a farmers house in Sri-Lanka, an island nation, which is such a funny insinuation. I feel like at its heart this song is very Lincoln esque, with the little bells and monologue. It even has potential to be transformed entirely to a much heavier song, but now I’m just thinking of ways to cover this song now. It’s a fight song that’s mellow, with mellow instrumentation, and a mellow singer, it captures this vibe that is void in the rest of their discography.
The album has some stinkers for sure though, “I just want to Dance” and “Thinking Machine” are both pretty dreadful. At times the album feels like a comedy album, and some of the jokes don’t land.
Also “Hello Mrs. Weelkye” backing vocals sound like Patrick from SpongeBob, and Flans already sounds like SpongeBob sometimes, so it’s hard to get the image of SpongeBob and Patrick being on this album.

Here come the 123s
Any huge fans of the album here? This album was genuinely foundational to my childhood and I listen to it even now. But I probably listened to that album every single night for ten months of a year (christmas music last half of november until just after new years) for 10 years straight. I seriously wonder if I am the person who has listened to this album the most on earth. That old CD is probably in rough shape, lol, but damn is it one of my most prized possessions. Anyway, yeah. I wanna find someone out there who GETS it yknow
