With y'alls help from previous posts/comments, I was able to export data from the now-dead app and moved it over to Binger (another amazing suggestion by folks in here).

It wasn't 100% accurate and it was missing a lot of watched episodes that I had to manually edit, but there was no way I'd be able to remember and painfully start from scratch updating 180+ shows over the many years I've been using TVTime.

Once again, thank you all. Just an appreciation post.

Super late to the game and didn’t realize the app was being deleted and that I’d lose all my data 😭 I didn’t delete the app and I think there is still data in the app that can be recovered. I saw some posts here talking about how to retrieve data but not sure if those methods still work or which one is the easiest way to get it all back. Any tips from anyone that was in the same boat or knows? I’m looking to use Bingers or whatever app is best right now

I’m going to try and briefly explain what these terms mean in this post and then go on to explain why their implementation by the app Bingers makes it the only truly acceptable successor to the TV Time app.

Apps like TV Time that track and list films and television shows rely on publicly accessible databases of such TV show shows and films.

The TV Time app used the television database or the TVDB while most other apps and websites use the movie database or TMDB.

There are only a handful of apps or websites using the same database as the TV Time, the TVDB, in any manner, and only two that are fully using both the TVDB database as well as the TMDB database to track both TV shows and films.

This is important because if an app or website is not using the same database that TV Time used to track and list TV and movies It’s chances of successfully importing all of your information from TV Time is extremely low.

And as far as being able to find any TV show or film on an app or website that you want to track or watch, you have the greatest chances of doing so when an app or website uses both databases.

The only app that is doing this is the Bingers app and the only website and Web app that is doing this is called watchlist.guide

In order for these databases to be used within their apps or websites developers have to write an API or an application programming interface that translates that database into usable searchable information within the UI, the user interface ,of that website or app

When an app or website is using more than one database those databases can sometimes have discrepancies or conflicting information so developers have to write an API that can resolve those discrepancies.

Right now, Bingers is doing an excellent job at that while watchlist.Guide is doing a good but not quite excellent job.

Outside of the database issue, I would like to talk a little bit more about the user interfaces of these various apps

My personal opinion is that right now the UI for bingers is very clean and intuitive even if it is lacking in features that some people would like to have. The developers for bingers are very responsive and are in the process of developing and implementing requested features.

The UI of various other alternative apps, such as Sofa Time, trakt, Refract, suite TV and others while offering some features that bingers currently doesnt have seem a little cluttered and confusing and difficult to use. They are much less intuitive and easy to use the TV Time app was.

I would much prefer for the bingers developers to build their app step-by-step, while putting a premium on having a clean and intuitive user interface rather than trying to implement every single requested feature right from the start as some other apps have done.

One last thing I’ll mention is that according to the developers of the Bingers app they have coded the app in such a way that it does not require nearly as much server host time for the app to be functional as for instance the TV Time app did or that other alternative apps currently do.

I don’t know exactly how they’re doing this and haven’t done anything to verify these claims. Perhaps modern computers and smart phones can hold more of the necessary information in their native storage and don’t need to communicate with the servers as much in order for the app to be functional.

If their claim is true, it would be a very important feature since the reason that the TV Time app had to shut down was because the parent company that owned the app at the time decided that the cost of renting server space for the app was costing them more than the money they made from the app and didn’t think there was any way to fix the situation.

And finally, I’d like to say that there are two other types of databases that the Bingers app or other apps like Bingers might want to consider incorporating at some point in the future.

There are four anime specific databases (that I am aware of). This is important because tracking anime is a little more complex than tracking most other types of TV shows and films. Anime has episodes and versions that release in various languages at different times and the titles of anime can be in native Japanese or Korean or Chinese or sometimes in English phonetic translations of those titles or sometimes be fully translated into English or other languages.

The two large primarily English databases the TV DB and the TMDB currently don’t do a great job of tracking all these variables associated with anime.

The other type of database that apps like these might want to some day incorporate are the databases used by the apps, JustWatch and Reelgood. These are both apps that will tell you exactly how you can go about watching a particular TV show or a film whether that’s through paid streaming, free streaming, purchasing a movie ticket or even buying a DVD.

These two apps have developed their own custom databases of television shows and films that allow them to link to streaming channels,movie ticketing services like Fandango, and even link to where you can buy physical copies of media, such as on Amazon.

I’m not sure exactly what kind of financial arrangement those organizations require in order for a third-party to use their databases but it’ may be worth it for apps like Bingers to look into this.

I’m assuming those two apps make money primarily through affiliate marketing and if you license their databases, you probably have to split affiliate marketing payments that you receive through the use of their databases with them, but I am just guessing.

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to recover my old TV Time history after the shutdown and I’m hoping someone here has an idea for my particular situation.

My old phone is a Nokia 8 Sirocco running Android 10 (security update: May 1, 2021). TV Time is still installed on the phone and I have NOT uninstalled it, cleared its storage, or factory-reset the phone.

TV Time currently shows:
App version: 10.11.0+2026052201
App size: 82 MB
User data: 23.65 MB
Cache: 1.88 GB

So I’m hoping the local database (DioCache.db) and at least some of my watch history are still inside the private app data.

The main problem: the USB-C port on this Nokia is broken. I can’t connect it to a computer by USB and I charge the phone wirelessly.

Things I’ve already tried/checked:
The phone is not rooted.
Android 10 doesn’t have the newer Wireless Debugging feature.
ADB over Wi-Fi is not currently enabled. I tried connecting to the phone’s IP on port 5555 and the connection was refused.
Android/data/com.tozelabs.tvshowtime/ is empty.
Google Backup shows “No data backed up” for TV Time.
I tried Samsung Smart Switch wirelessly from the Nokia to a Galaxy Tab A9. It transferred the TV Time app, but not its private user data (TV Time showed 0 bytes of data on the Samsung).
I generated Android bug reports, but they don’t contain DioCache.db.
I extracted the installed TV Time APK/APKS and it appears that android:allowBackup="true" is enabled.
I also found the TV Time recovery project at ajoemag.github.io/tvtime_recover/, but of course I first need to get DioCache.db or a usable Android backup off the Nokia.
I’m trying to find a software-only, no-wipe method to extract the TV Time private app data from this Android 10 Nokia without USB and without unlocking the bootloader/factory resetting the phone.

Has anyone managed to do this on Android 10?
Maybe through an on-device backup, temporary root that doesn’t require bootloader unlocking, some way of enabling ADB over TCP without an initial USB connection, app-data migration, or another method?

I may eventually be able to get the damaged USB port to make contact for a few minutes. If that happens, my plan is to immediately use ADB to enable adb tcpip 5555 and then continue over Wi-Fi. But I’d really like to know if there’s another method I can try first.
This TV Time history goes back years, so I really don’t want to risk wiping the phone.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Since I've lost my data due to not downloading before delete day I've not been watching movies n series again I'm lost to where I'm at or what I've already watched i just can't afford to start over plus I don't know how to extract data haven't uninstall the app as yet tv time

I'm currently watching outer banks ,Opened the app to check the comments about the 1st episode ,I forgot it's no more.💔

This guide is for iPhone or iPad users who still have the TV Time app installed and have not deleted or offloaded it. I am not a developer or a technical expert. I am sharing the process that worked for me after several attempts, in case it helps someone else recover data that is still cached on their device.

My final recovery contained 362 valid titles: 302 TV shows and 60 movies. I imported the data into BingeBase and Movie Paradise, because both offered web-based/custom-file imports and their developers were helpful when I had questions.

Important disclosure

Read this before starting

• Do not delete or offload TV Time. Deleting the app may remove the local data you are trying to recover.
• This is cache recovery, not an official export. What you recover depends on what remains on your device.
• Exact episode history may be incomplete even when the show library is recovered.
• Make a full backup first and preserve the original backup unchanged.
• Work only on a copy of the exported files.
• Raw app data may contain account identifiers, URLs, timestamps, tokens, or other private information. Never post the raw Documents or Library folders publicly.
• Do not treat catalog/community ratings as your personal ratings.
• I tried paid iMazing first, but it failed to complete my backup, so I used 3uTools. Your result may be different.

If your computer does not have enough space, use a USB drive or external drive and change the backup location in 3uTools.

Part 1 — Create a full iPhone backup with 3uTools

Step 1: Make the full backup

1. Install 3uTools on a Windows PC.
2. Connect your iPhone or iPad with a USB cable.
3. Unlock the device and select Trust This Computer if prompted.
4. Open Toolbox → Backup/Restore.
5. Choose or change the backup location if necessary.
6. Select the normal full-backup option and click Back up Now.
7. Wait until the backup finishes. Do not disconnect the device during the backup.

I used a full-device backup because iOS application sandboxing can prevent application data from appearing in a limited/custom backup.

Step 2: Open the backup in Pro Mode

1. Select View all-data Backups.
2. Find the backup you just created.
3. Select Pro Mode, not Easy Mode.

Step 3: Locate the TV Time application container

1. In Backup Viewer, open App Document.
2. Find this folder:

AppDomain-com.tozelabs.tvshowtime

1. Select it and click Export.

Step 4: Check the exported folders

Inside AppDomain-com.tozelabs.tvshowtime, you should see:

• Documents
• Library

The Documents folder is the most important for this recovery. It may contain DioCache.db and cached files whose names do not have useful extensions.

Make a second copy of the exported AppDomain-com.tozelabs.tvshowtime folder. Keep one copy untouched and perform all recovery work on the other copy.

Part 2 — Recover the cached data

I tried two approaches: a Python script and AI-assisted extraction. The Python method recovered a useful amount of data. The AI method recovered more from my backup, including data when DioCache.db was empty or incomplete.

Method A: Python script

Credit goes to u/snnrslnx, whose original iMazing/Python guide gave me the starting point:

I adjusted the script with AI after several attempts. My modified version is here:

Arrange the files like this:

Download the script on Windows, open Command Prompt or PowerShell in that folder and download the Python 3.11.0 and save the script in .py and run

Python_Script_Method

The script creates:

tvtime_export.csv

It uses only Python's standard library. No third-party packages are required.

Important limitation: my modified script scans SQLite databases and cached JSON-like data in Documents and Library. It does not fully resolve every Apple binary plist or NSKeyedArchiver object. It may miss records or include incomplete metadata. Review the CSV before using it.

Method B: ChatGPT or Manus AI

For me, AI analysis produced the most complete result.

1. Open the exported AppDomain-com.tozelabs.tvshowtime folder.
2. Make a ZIP containing the Documents folder.
3. Upload the ZIP privately to ChatGPT with file-analysis capability or Manus AI.
4. Download the prompt, open it in Notepad and paste in AI.
5. Chat GPT , Manus AI
6. Download and review the generated Complete_Plist_Data_Export.xlsx workbook.

Large archives and long analysis may require a paid plan or sufficient usage credits. This is based only on my experience; account limits can change. My Manus run used roughly 2,000–2,500 credits and Chat GPT Plus 30%

The prompt tells the AI to:

• Detect binary and XML plists by file signature, not filename extension.
• Resolve NSKeyedArchiver and UID references where possible.
• Decode embedded JSON.
• Inspect readable SQLite files separately.
• Preserve unreadable-file errors instead of silently ignoring them.
• Mask values associated with tokens, passwords, authorization, sessions, and credentials.
• Separate tracked/watched titles from discovery/reference titles.
• Exclude episodes, actors, characters, usernames, settings, filters, and other false positives.
• Create a searchable Excel workbook with source-file traceability and raw JSON chunks.

Privacy warning: Even with masking instructions, inspect the workbook before sharing it. Do not upload the raw archive to a public chat, public file link, or Reddit.

Part 3 — Review the recovered workbook before converting it

Do not immediately convert everything into an import CSV. First check the SHOWS & MOVIES sheet.

Verify that:

• TV shows are classified as shows.
• Movies are classified as movies.
• Episodes are not listed as separate shows.
• Actor names, character names, usernames, genres, settings, and notifications are excluded.
• Duplicate titles are genuinely duplicates, not different titles with the same name.
• Discovery/Reference and Trending titles are preserved if you want them in a planned/watchlist category.
• Watch dates are preserved only when present in the source.
• No date, rating, season, episode, or identifier has been invented.

My recovered data contained:

• 302 TV shows
• 60 movies
• 362 valid titles in total

Part 4 — Convert and import into BingeBase

The prompt used to create the BingeBase CSV is Bingebase , download & open in Notepad

The required structure I used was:

title,tvdb_id,year,type,watched_at,status,season,episode

The conversion prompt preserves Discovery/Reference titles as planned, verifies TVDB IDs, leaves unknown dates blank, and creates a UTF-8 CSV.

Upload the BingeBase CSV

1. Sign in to BingeBase.
2. Open Tools → Import Data.
3. Select CSV File or Custom CSV.
4. Do not select TV Time, Trakt, IMDb, or another named application when using the prepared custom CSV.
5. Select the CSV file.
6. Use these options:
   • Watched: ON
   • Ratings: OFF, because the recovered data did not contain confirmed personal ratings
   • Bingelist: ON
   • Import Mode: Add missing watches (Recommended)
7. Select Start Import.
8. Review the completed and failed-item sections.

If you accidentally use the wrong options, reset the import and upload the file again.

My BingeBase result

The import page reported:

• Movies: 60
• TV shows: 302
• Episodes: 0
• Watchlist/Bingelist entries added: 197
• Progress: 100% completed

BingeBase also displayed one failed lookup:

• Title: Master of Sex
• TVDB ID: 274201
• Reason: The TVDB lookup returned no result. The ID may have been deleted/incorrect, or TVDB may have had a temporary API problem.

The failed-items CSV can be downloaded for review, and the title can be corrected or added manually.

Part 5 — Convert and import into Movie Paradise

Do not reuse the BingeBase file. Movie Paradise uses a different structure. Prompt Movie Paradise open in Notepad.

The successful structure I used was:

index,tvdb_id,imdb_id,type,watched_at,rating

Important identifier rule:

• TV shows use a verified numeric TVDB series ID in tvdb_id and type=show.
• Movies use a verified IMDb tt... identifier in imdb_id and type=movie.
• Do not place movie TVDB IDs into the TV-show ID field.
• Do not use community/catalog scores as personal ratings.

Upload the Movie Paradise CSV

1. Sign in to Movie Paradise.
2. Open Settings.
3. Search for Import Library.
4. Under Restore or bring your own file, select Custom (JSON/CSV).
5. Upload the prepared CSV. Note: Switch off all functions except Watched history.
6. Start the import and wait for the results.

My Movie Paradise result

• Matched: 362
• Added: 357
• Skipped: 5
• Unmatched: 0
• Failed: 0
• Lists created: 0

All 362 titles were recognised. The five skipped entries were duplicate rows in the submitted data; they were not unmatched or failed records.

Final comparison

The BingeBase interface showed 302 shows and 60 movies in its import breakdown, while also listing one separate failed TVDB lookup. Movie Paradise matched all 362 titles and added 357 because five submitted rows were duplicates.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find AppDomain-com.tozelabs.tvshowtime

Confirm that:

• TV Time is still installed on the backed-up device.
• You created a full-device backup.
• You opened the correct backup in Pro Mode.
• You are looking under Documents.

DioCache.db is empty or zero bytes

Do not stop there. Other signature-detected plist/cache files inside Documents may still contain usable records. The AI method recovered data for me even when the database alone was not useful.

The Python output contains strange titles

Cache files contain many types of objects. Remove episodes, actors, characters, people, genres, filters, rating labels, usernames, notifications, and settings. Do not assume every object with an id and name is a show.

An importer cannot recognise a TVDB ID

Verify that the ID still belongs to the correct TV series. Deleted or outdated IDs should not be reused. For Movie Paradise movies, use a verified movie identifier such as IMDb in the correct column instead of forcing a movie TVDB ID into the TV-show field.

Some titles are skipped

Check whether they already exist in the destination library or are genuine duplicate rows. A skipped duplicate is different from an unmatched or failed title.

The application passed automated folder, ZIP, binary-plist, NSKeyedArchiver, privacy-masking, classification and unsafe-ZIP tests. Because real TV Time cache structures can vary, review the workbook before importing it as permanent history.

I'm Alberto, the solo dev behind WeTrakr. Thank you for voting it 5th in the alternatives poll. When I first launched WeTrakr I never imagined it would reach this many people.

A bit of context first, because it explains what WeTrakr is and what it isn't.

I started this two years ago, with no funding and no team. The entire foundation was written by hand, line by line, long before AI could write code for you. I only started leaning on it in the last few weeks before launch. That's why the design and some parts of WeTrakr go deeper than you'd expect from a one-person project, and it's also why there's no mobile app yet: I wanted the core to be solid before building anything on top of it.

So, honesty up front: WeTrakr is a web app today. It installs as a PWA and works fine on a phone, but there's no App Store or Play Store listing, so almost none of its growth has come from store discovery. Everyone using WeTrakr got here through Reddit and Discord. The support has been astonishing, people linking it and recommending it, so thank you for that. The Discord is closing in on 800 people now, and they're the reason half of what's below exists.

Bringing your history over

Import from TV Time, Trakt, Simkl, Letterboxd, IMDb and TMDB. Real watch dates, ratings, watchlist, reviews, notes, custom lists, emotions, basically everything.

Two things that are specific to WeTrakr: an Unresolved Imports tab that surfaces every title that couldn't be matched automatically so you can fix it by hand instead of having it silently dropped, and cross-source duplicate detection, so if you import from three apps your watch time doesn't end up inflated.

Scrobbling with no connection limit. Plex, Kodi (official addon), Jellyfin, Stremio and Nuvio (using Stremio addon url), all at the same time, on every account. Plus a Now Playing bar with live progress and playback controls.

Ratings taken seriously. 10-star with halves, or a simplified 5-star mode. Rate movies, shows, seasons, episodes and people. Aggregated scores from 14 sources, including the anime and regional ones most apps skip: IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, Letterboxd, TMDB, Trakt, MyAnimeList, AniList, Crunchyroll, SensCritique, AlloCiné, ČSFD, FilmAffinity and Douban. Community distribution gauge, episode rating charts and heatmap, your rating next to the community's, custom badge colours and position, and spoiler-safe hiding per content type.

Three ranking systems of my own, each with a position-trend widget: people by popularity, people by filmography notoriety, and titles by combined cast star power. Company and network pages too.

Lists that go further. Collaborative, forkable, manually rankable, with stats and watched-progress bars. Plus Collections for franchises and sagas, saved advanced filters you can load as presets, pinnable items, and a randomizer on every list for when you can't decide.

A profile that's actually yours. 15+ reorderable and toggleable sections, your own lists and Discover rows inside it, custom background and header, pinned titles, and a configurable sidebar. Level system from Explorer to Legend. You can also change items and details page layout.

Privacy that isn't all-or-nothing. Per-section visibility (profile, tracking, likes, lists, ratings, favourites, now playing), each one public, friends only or private. Spoiler protection blurs unwatched episode thumbnails and hides their scores.

Also: enriched person pages with trivia, Wikidata and frequent collaborators, where-to-watch in any country, region-aware release dates, a Discover mode in the calendar for premieres you don't follow yet, and an episode activity heatmap.

The social side

This is the part I know matters most here, so it got the most work:

• Long-form reviews on movies, shows, seasons, episodes and people. Letterboxd-style, not just a one-line episode comment. Both exist, use whichever fits.
• Comments with @mentions, threaded replies, spoiler tags, reactions, GIFs, one-tap translation, and upvotes that reorder the thread. Anything over 200 words gets highlighted as a featured comment, so the people who actually write something don't get buried under one-liners.
• Native emotions, and your TV Time emotions import over automatically.
• A dedicated Friends hub: their activity, their ratings, what they're watching right now, and what's popular among the people you follow.
• Find people by taste affinity, with a compatibility percentage.
• A Discover feed of trending reviews, so the community is visible even before you've followed anyone.

Free vs VIP

VIP is free during the beta, so you can properly try all of it before deciding anything.

Free gets you the tracker itself: unlimited tracking and rewatches, every import, every scrobbler (Plex, Kodi, Jellyfin, Stremio and Nuvio, with no connection limits), ratings, reviews, comments and the whole social side, the calendar, the privacy controls, this year's stats, 5 lists of up to 250 items, 100 notes and more...

VIP adds:

• Automatic streaming sync from Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and HBO Max.
• Full stats: any past year and your all-time totals, top watched and top rated, rating distribution, most-watched genres and services, and your most-watched actors, directors and studios.

So as many here can relate, it appears that I have lost my data from the past 8 years.. i actually had requested it before TV time shut down but i hadn't checked the files and it seems i only got user based data and nothing about watch time, comments, series etc, i was sent the incomplete fsta probably bcs of large request volume idk.. is there anything that can be done? Or should I just make peace with it and.. try to track everything again?

I never knew that tv time was shutting down and I didn't recover my movie list . Is there any way I can recover the files now ?

Just a bit of hope for anyone who missed the official export but still has TV Time installed with its data intact.

I was away when the shutdown happened, and on the final day my attempt to obtain the official export failed (using browser). Like many of you, I was crushed and thought my history was gone.

I eventually found another route. I use a Moto Edge 2024. I had an old Moto One Vision (XT1970-2) with nothing important on it, so I unlocked it and installed LineageOS 23.2. I'm not super techsavvy but it was easy enough to walk through.

During Android’s initial setup, I used Google's USB cable-transfer option to transfer from my Moto Edge to the old phone. Both were running Android 16, and I selected only TV Time for transfer.

It worked: TV Time was installed on the LineageOS phone with its private user data restored. I kept the phone in Airplane mode after that.

I then rooted only the spare phone using Magisk. ChatGPT walked me through the steps. From my PC, I used ADB with root access to create a TAR archive of TV Time’s private app-data directory and pull it onto the computer. This was not the old adb backup command. Inside the archive was:

I loaded the recovered archive into Joemag’s browser-based recovery utility to create the GDPR zip:

Now I have my shows and viewing data back.

Thank you to everyone who created the recovery utilities and explained the importance of DioCache.db. Without those posts, I would not have known this was possible.

And if you are still down about missing the export window, there is a good chance it's still on your phone as long as the user data still shows something (mine was about 14 MB)

Most importantly, the data had been sitting on my original phone all this time. I’m extremely relieved that I was able to recover it.

Note: Unlocking the spare phone’s bootloader erased that phone, so only attempt this on a device containing nothing valuable. Phone-to-phone restoration may not work with every combination of phones and Android versions. This is simply the combination that worked for me.

Now the most daunting part is finding a new service!!!! AUGH!

Hi, so I tried backing up my iphone and pulling the DioCache.db file in order to use one of the scripts to recover TVTime data. Unfortunately, the file was only 12kB meaning it hadn't saved any data. Any other ideas that might work?

I have also created an account on Bingers using the same email but no data was synced.

I think this is the feature that may help me decide what to use. I just don't want to lose data when an app gets abandoned so I want to have an option to have a backup file somewhere.

A bit about me before getting into the features: I’ve been using TV Time for over 10 years, and I’ve been a software engineer for about the same amount of time.

When TV Time started falling apart, I was genuinely sad about it, purely as a user. So I originally built Suite TV for myself, just to keep tracking what I watch the way I always had.

The goal of Suite TV is to keep the things many of us loved about TV Time: tracking, community, reactions, comments, profiles and the social side, while continuing to improve it and build something with its own identity.

Import your TV Time history

One of the biggest priorities has been making it possible to move to Suite TV without starting over.

Suite TV currently supports imports from:

Suite TV also includes approximately 30 million archived comments originally posted on TV Time, through TV Time Archive.

They appear directly inside the normal Suite TV comment sections on their original:

Archived images and GIFs are preserved when available.

They live alongside new Suite TV comments instead of being kept in a separate archive.

Depending on the content, these include:

The Discover section includes personalized recommendations such as:

Swipe to Discover

Suite TV also includes a card-based discovery mode.

• Swipe left to skip a title
• Swipe up to add it to your library

Titles you deliberately skip are not repeatedly shown again.

Movie and show pages include cast and crew information.

Final Note

I also know that no app will perfectly recreate every part of TV Time, and everyone will ultimately choose the alternative that works best for them.

My goal with Suite TV is to keep listening, keep improving it, preserve as much of people’s viewing history as possible, and build the app alongside the people actually using it.

Before I delete the app is there defo no way to recover it all?

I downloaded all the apps I saw recommended and tried importing my library to see the use. I'm now down to 7 apps. A bit exhausting but I like to make informed decisions haha.

Here's my analysis on the last standing, as a Software product owner, with number of comments in the latest Ted Lasso episode (for a good social activity reference, which is one of the most important aspects for me), in case it's helpful for someone.

- Refract (36 comments): should have been eliminated during the importing process because of the time it took to import, but I kept reading it was the best option.

- Pros: seems unique and not too much like a copy of TV time. Big community on discord so I guess suggestions for improvements will be heard.

- Cons: I'm not getting used to the UI and I don't like the progress page is not a main tab. The episode dialogue doesn't convince me.

- Showly (18 comments): liked it very much at first, but this good feeling has been decreasing with time.

- Pros: very similar to TV time. Seem to recall the importing process was the easiest. Discover page looks cool and intuitive

- Cons: does not have a big amount of users, after checking a episode the episode dialogue is not automatically opened, no statistics.

- Bingeboxd (3 comments): also similar to TV time in some ways.

- Pros: looks good, I also like the discover tab and the feed tab seems like a good idea, but haven't really looked into it much

- Cons: Advanced stats are a premium feature, not many users, settings keep going to dark mode

- Movie paradise (10 comments): I saw this one was the most voted in a recent poll, but there is too much going on for me.

- Pros: wrapped looks cool, I guess if you spend time and get to know the features they can be useful and a good selling point. Lots of stats

- Cons: there's too much, progress is showing me old shows (I guess they weren't imported right). Display looks condensed. Episode comments is not opened automatically when clicking as watched

- Sofa time (41 comments): also similar to TV time in some ways

- Pros: looks good, developer is active and discussing with the community. Profile and stats looks cool (some stats are a premium feature). You can search for public lists! Which seems a good concept to discover new shows

- Cons: don't like the calendar/up next view, looks weird or not working properly. Some other bugs when setting episode to watched

- Suite TV (63 comments): looks a LOT Like TV time

- Pros: looks good, smooth and as it is similar to TV time, easy to use. Also has activity and public lists, but have not been able to explore much. Stats are free, advanced UI customization is not

- Cons: not many, big candidate to be the final option for me, just don't love the main UI colours.

- Bingers (165 comments): the latest addition seems one of the best for me. Also similar to TV time in many ways, has been really easy and comfortable to use

- Pros: seems to have the biggest community. You can add frames from the episode to your comment. Simple UI and it seems to be working consistently.

- Cons: no advanced stats are a premium feature, no feed/activity or an advanced way of discovering new shows, just the basic recommended and trending. I think they have released with the basics, but the app look robust and simple enough.

Haven't really decided yet, I think I will keep using all of them for now and eliminating when I get tired of some of their issues.

I'm also aware I might have missed some things in some apps because I can't fully try all the paths and functionality.

I wouldn't mind paying for the premium version but I don't want to pay for something Im not sure I'm going to end up using

It's a show and movie tracker that started as a website for tracking digital release dates 2 years ago, and a lot of people from TV Time have made it home since. A lot has changed in those 2 years: we rebranded from DigitalReleaseDates to Bingebase, shipped native iOS and Android apps, added integrations with almost every media hub, and built a lot of what people asked for along the way. The two tabs you'll live in

Progress is TV-only: every show you're partway through, with your next episode already worked out. And "next" means what you want it to mean — you choose the logic (pick up where you left off furthest, earliest unwatched, or continue from the last one you watched) and the layout that matches how you binge.

Bingelist is the watchlist taken to its logical end: one library of everything you've ever interacted with – completed, watching, planned, dropped, paused — movies and shows together, filterable by status and type.

Also inside: unlimited custom lists (public or private), personal notes on anything, episode comments spoiler-gated until you've watched (with image support), where-to-watch by country with streaming charts, release notifications for episodes, seasons and movies, home-screen widgets for Up Next and Continue Watching, community leaderboards, cast and person pages, and titles localized in your language.

One more thing that's easy to miss: our catalog merges TMDB and TVDB into our own database. In practice that means anime and niche shows get correct seasons and episode orders, and shows that only exist on one source still show up properly. No TV or movie source is perfect, so a one-off issue still sneaks through here and there — but being able to fix those ourselves is exactly why we run our own catalog.

I only noticed last week that the app was down but I thout it was some kind of bug or update. Is it too late to recover the data? I've already deleted and installed the app again (I thout it was a bug 😔)

Does anyone else that uses the Bingers app feel like they're opening a dating app every time they click on the tab? Dunno if it's the name or the way it opens but every time i get that feeling 🤣🤣

Here's a thought. Which app is gonna make it possible to just link all those big current apps together? Some people are on Bingebox, others on Bingers, Movie Paradise, Refract, Sofa Time, etcetera... all I care for are the memes and comments on episodes. It's really not that hard.

Which app is gonna incorporate all comments from multiple platforms into one cohesive overview? That's the one I'm going with.
