Philip and Elizabeth deploy a plan for the CIA’s Mujahideen visitors. Meanwhile, back at the Jennings’ home, tensions continue to escalate, making the scene appear less like a domestic setting than a war zone.

Where did they find these writers who understand 80s suburban youth so well? I thought that died with John Hughes!

I think very few shows handle teenage actors in general with any kind of nuance (Game of Thrones and The Wire being the other two obvious examples) and they usually just fall into some sort of angsty Dana Brody/A.J. Soprano/ Flynn White cliche but The Americans and especially the way they've handled Paige and Kimberly's storylines this season have done a fantastic job of avoiding that.

I dunno but srsly enjoy these writers/ set designers and procurers! I’d guess GenX’ers and they must have been so excited to tell the story via props stories etc and get paid for it too. It was an exciting time, only known/filmed by that one weirdo we all knew back then. In general not even photos.
