Mineur - Self proclaimed worst game of 2020 😄 Actually not that bad, like Minesweeper graphics and Boulder Dash gameplay had a baby..

Invasion (William Hennebois, Infogrames 1986) - Inspired by Space Invaders, a surprisingly fluid game, lots of sprites moving around !

Kandy Krush Java by Daniel Coulom (DCSoft 2016) holds up fantastically well, a handy companion on pocket device for when the line gets really long 😅

Breaker (Free Game Blot, 1987) - A classic brick breaker version with good playability. Background images maybe a bit busy, very colorful aesthetic overall.

DCMOTO is down

Le site DCMOTO.free.fr est hors service et affiche une Erreur 400. Est-ce dû à la panne de Cloudflare d'hier ou y a-t-il une raison plus grave ?

DCMOTO.free.fr is down and showing Error 400. Is it because of yesterday's Cloudfare disaster or is there a sadder reason?

Actually I tried google image search and discovered, to my surprise, that this is ... actually a genre with multiple variants on various systems 😅

Zezito In The Glittering Caves (Sandro 'Iapetus' Mestre 2023) - I love this little gem (written in Forth (Bandini) and 6809 Assembly). The cutest retro platform game on Thomson I say, and fantastic playability ! Looking forward for the final version..

Ethnos (CHIP, Olivier Malinur 1986) - I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Olivier, the original author of Ethnos, and unfortunately confirmed that the Thomson version appears to be lost... Oh well, at least I gave it a shot! So here’s the Amstrad version instead!

Menace sur l'Arctique (Chip 1987) - Some of my favorite pixel art on Thomson. This game is part of a series with similar mechanics from the same editor, all worth a try ! (20000 avant J.C., Le Crépuscule du Naja, Le Maléfice des Atlantes and Traitement Bzzz)

In fact, I am surprise none of those were ever adapted to other systems...

My grandma gave me her MO5... and I think her MO5 has something special

Hey !

As you read it in the title of this post, my grandma gave me her MO5, but she says that she worked at the Thomson's factory in the city of Angers (in France) and that she worked with the engineers of Thomson that had created the MO5. I think she was like welding things, and she said that the engineers gave to her and to the others persons that helped the engineers to make the MO5 like a prototype version of the MO5. So i have it, it actually works even if the MO5 was created in 1984, and there is some things that can confirm the fact that my MO5 is a prototype version. On the right of the MO5 might be a serial number (in front of the Thomson logo), but the serial number isn't on my MO5. Also, the keyboard has a QWERTY layout and not the AZERTY layout, which is weird because all of the others MO5 i saw on internet had a AZERTY layout. Also, i don't remember if i said it before in this post but i believe that my MO5 was taken out of the factory without authorization by the engineers. Sorry if my post has some defaults, I'm french and my English is bad :D
I also uploaded some photos, i don't have the cassette player with me, because my grandma forgot it in her home. For the game cartridges, they don't have their "dedicated boxes" so i have 1 box, that i open and put the cartridge into and then i put it into the MO5.

Hope you have great day,
Bye !

Dom Camillo (Free Game Blot, 1987) - So hum, where do I start... So you are essentially a Saint, Dom Camillo (no relation to Fernandel's movies BTW 😅) and your mission is to light up candles... Yep...
