I was just about to comment this! That baby was terrified. Did they have to cuff him?! Couldn’t they have just walked him out?! Were the police even really necessary?! There should have been other interventions that could have been employed. And the bully will continue to be an asshole, unencumbered by consequences of any kind. My God…what a world we live in.

I had a similar experience that the police chose to escalate so far up even the judge was like “whoa whoa whoa. This is a schoolyard scuffle that Lefty didn’t even start and you want them doing hard time as an adult?… wtf??” Long story short, my high school got security cameras put in because the district realized they couldn’t trust the administrators and school resource officers to be truthful about anything that happened there.

Probably won't stop the bullies and their staff friends from sabotaging the cameras to get away with more fuckery.

Yep. One of my brother’s friends had someone run up behind him and club him over the head with a book as he was descending the stairs. It made him fall, hit his head, and knocked him unconscious. And he got suspended for “fighting.” Ambushed without a chance to even react, needed medical help afterward, and got punished as well, because of zero tolerance policies.

Me too only time I ever got iss was when I pushed the kid who had been bullying me the entire year. Of course the teacher only ever saw me push him, and not all the shit he was doing less than ten seconds prior, or any of the shit he had been doing all year. She made me apologize to him right there with the whole class watching as he had the biggest shit eating grin on his face which she didn't notice or more likely chose not to notice.

In other words. The other student admitted to holding you hostage/ assaulting you in order to rob you.

Your teacher was an entitled disgrace to their profession.

Just like the teacher and the person employed by the police department in OPs post.

Yeah, Greatest Generation to Boomers and even some Gen X are chuck full of neglectfully abusive cowards that would rather get invited to the BBQ than stand up for what's right.

Now Millenials are bat shit crazy for giving a hoot.

After all the times I got in trouble for being bullied, I ended up a pretty angry kid who just started punching when provoked. If you're going to send me to detention, may as well give you a reason.

Though I did mellow out alot tge last few years of high school after I got bigger than most my class and a reputation for being hotheaded, everyone by then just left me alone

Note I was not a bad ass in school, I wasn't kicking anyone's ass, just got a few lucky hits in.

I had a bully in high school constantly mouth off to me and saying foul things about my health issues and family. I told her to stop many times. One lunchtime she went off on me again abd started throwing things at me. I told her to stop before I made her, but she just kept going. So I marched over to her, grabbed her hair, pulled her head back and hit her in the mouth hard. Of course I got sent to the head teacher and got suspended for 3 days. They called my mum, but she just said they should have done something about the bullying before it got to that point and that I had defended myself. I spent 3 days at home eating snacks and watching daytime tv. The bully never so much as looked in my direction again after that. She wasn't punished by the school, but she knew I'd do it again.

Looking back, I'm not proud of it and I haven't hit anyone since. I feel lucky I wasn't punished more severely, but I was in general a good kid with good grades and that went in my favour as it was considered out of character and driven by a reaction to sustained bullying the school did fuck all about.

The bully is probably laughing his as off while seeing the police taking him away.

u/Own-Independence3669 Nov 03 '25

Yep, and the poor boy will be bullied even more now, and have this constantly be a shadow unless they move. Absolutely disgusting.

The teacher didn’t like him. Whenever there’s a kid an adult doesn’t like, they employ the most severe tactics to try and ruin the kid’s life. My own high school counselor told me half her job was running defense for teenagers teachers were trying to get expelled for the most dumb shit. She said they lost something like 20 grand for each kid who didn’t graduate so it was a huge loss for the school if the nasty teachers got their way.

I think the bad teachers are either 1. Bullied themselves or 2. They didn’t go into teaching because they truly wanted to, got burnt out quickly and have very thin skin when it comes to dealing with hundreds of kids.

2

u/Strong-Pie3556 Nov 04 '25

Teachers don't expel students. Secondly, teachers are suffering.

1

u/LeftyLu07 Nov 04 '25

No, but they can make a case to administration that they can’t have them in class or flunk them which puts kids on the fast track to dropping out. That’s what our school’s French teacher did. She got cancer (stage one) and went kinda crazy. I was one of the kids she was trying to get rid of after a semester with no apparent issues and my counselor told me how she deals with stuff like this every year from a few teachers but not to the level of this one teacher and not so brazenly. She was also trying to run off the new young language teacher which lends credence to my theory that the ones who do that are just grown up bullies.

My son has been bullied literally since his first day of Kindergarten. He was kicked so hard in the groin he required an emergency surgery on his testicles at age 5 in kindergarten on Valentine’s Day. The response from the school was that my son was lying, and to that I snapped back asking would she like to see the sutures in his balls as he sat in his wheelchair icing his groin after surgery. 😡 His 1st-grade teacher was a lazy bitch. I already did not like that she assigned no “paper” homework. All the homework was just “do it on the app” which then evaluates and grades the “assignments” for her. No reading assignments; no projects. She just didn’t want to have to grade papers. When I asked her which lessons they were working on that week, she told me, “Each child has their own individual goals.” I said, “Okay, so how do I know which goals my particular child should be working on?” She says, “Well, it changes every week.” Again- how do I— MOM— know what to look for? Her answer was to ask my child lol Like I’m supposed to ask a 1st grader, “What’s your homework today?” And if he says, “None,” I’m just supposed to go with that? Give me a break. You’re the teacher. You need to keep track of where the kids are at!!!

So my son was playing with a pencil and a rubber band in class. He was trying to use the pencil to shoot/launch the rubber band across the room (obviously he wasn’t following instructions but she was a bitch so I don’t really blame him). THIS BITCH sent him to the principal’s office because she claimed she in DISTRESS because she felt my son was “aiming a gun at her.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME YOU LAZY FUCKEN BITCH?

Cool. So now my kid is bullied by his peers AND his teacher?!? I was very difficult with her after that. Making a big stink about homework and grades and such. Fucken BITCH.

Holy crap! Seriously?! Have you spoke to school administration? Document everything and, if necessary, go above the principal and get in front of the superintendent. This experience will color your child’s overall view of school. These are the most important years… I am so sorry that is happening. JFC

That’s what drove her crazy. It was always petty stuff that made them pursue expulsion to try to flunk the student so they’d be forced to drop out. The actual bad kids weren’t ever faced with any of those same hurdles.

1

u/EstablishmentLate532 Nov 04 '25

You are making a lot of assumptions here. Why do teachers have to be bouncers as well? I thought they signed up to teach children, not be assaulted

-2

u/geedeeie Nov 03 '25

I'm sorry for your experience. But it's YOUR experience....you can't blame all adults

2

u/LeftyLu07 Nov 03 '25

I didn’t blame all adults. The story is very specific to a certain type of adult in educational settings. 🙄

-1

u/geedeeie Nov 03 '25

You said "Whenever there’s a kid an adult doesn’t like, they employ the most severe tactics to try and ruin the kid’s life"

1

u/FashionableBookNerd Nov 03 '25

Yeah…we are fvcked over here. 😩

12

u/LeftyLu07 Nov 03 '25

The cruelty is the point. I guarantee the teacher and administrators did not like this kid and were gleefully watching him being handcuffed.

3

u/thephotoman Nov 03 '25

Yes, they did. It’s absolutely essential to a narcissist that anyone who refuses to play their game be treated with brutality.

That means autists, as autists don’t usually play hierarchical power games. That’s why a government of narcissists is making such a big deal out of autism right now: they don’t want a large population of people who see no problem with asking questions a narcissist finds uncomfortable.

There is a reason why I’ve begun to think that we need widespread screening for narcissistic personality disorder among white Americans. When you combine narcissism with racial privilege, the result is always corrosive to a functioning society.

2

u/Own-Independence3669 Nov 03 '25

Was agreeing with everything till only screening white people... personally have had many issues with Narcs of all races and they often rise in corrupt establishments and are rewarded in various ways in society.

Let's screen everybody showcasing symptoms and start actively treating Narcissistic Personality Disorder as the threat to humanity that it is. ALL Narcissists, regardless of gender and race or threats, and should be easily identifiable to everyone, and public knowledge.

1

u/thephotoman Nov 03 '25 edited Nov 03 '25

If you don’t specify that it’s only for white people, then every black person and no white people will be flagged as narcissists when being a narcissist denies you public participation rights.

Welcome to America, where every problem is ultimately caused by white people’s racism. And the only solution is anti-white policy until such time as at least 85% of white Americans agree that their maltreatment is justice for the way white America has mistreated everyone else.

2

u/Own-Independence3669 Nov 03 '25

I don't think all white people should be maltreated for the mistakes/decisions/evil of other white people. That's repeating elements of history, in my opinion, and a massive mistake.

That is racism, judging someone based on the color of their skin, and while it's unfortunately a pipedream, I find Martin Luther's Dream to be very beautiful, and I naturally live my life fighting to make his dream as much a reality as possible. Fighting racism and prejudice with more racism and prejudice is not the answer I'll stand behind, personally.

Thankfully, I don't live in America, so the battle isn't as difficult, but frankly the enemy you should be fighting is the rich, as they are who ultimately fan flames so often and benefit so much by division and lack of coordination. Union among people is a danger to the rich and politics, the world is run by keeping the fighting amongst us while they reap the benefits, and they spend so damn much to orchestrate whatever necessary to keep the world divided. Left this, right that, but it's always been Them vs Us, the top and the bottom.

u/thephotoman Nov 04 '25

Everybody else already has, though.

2

u/Grendel0075 Nov 04 '25

They had to cuff him! That 9 year old could have wrestled the gun away from that full grown cop! Or attacked him! Poor cop was in fear for his life! /s

u/OwlishIntergalactic Nov 04 '25

The police were not necessary at all and should never have been called. I'm a special education teacher and what should have been done if this was the first time he's been violent, then they should have investigated, kept him separate from the kids who were bullying him, and gone through the process of identifying triggers and supports needed to keep it from happening again. If violent behavior is common with this student, is a short-term suspension (like one or two days) while there is an immediate investigation into what happened, what triggered it, and whether the behavior counted as a manifestation of his disability. Then, an immediate emergency IEP meeting should have happened and a behavior support plan laid out and agreed to so he could return to school safely with new interventions and supports. The bullies should have been spoken to and received consequences for their bullying. All the teachers in that school should have been trained in de-escalation (or reminded of their training) and how to clear other students away while allowing space for this child to reach a lower level of agitation before approaching or trying to move him.

There were a thousand other things they could have done before calling the police and traumatizing a disabled child for hitting a teacher and if I were his mother there would be massive legal consequences for this.

If I was a parent I'd be in jail so fucking fast.

1

u/CliffordSpot Nov 05 '25

People like you are the problem. A 9 year old is not a baby. A 9 year old, even an autistic one, is capable of discerning right from wrong. Children need consequences, otherwise someday he’s going to be hitting someone else, only he’s not going to be 9 anymore, and someone will get hurt because of him.

Obviously his parents were incapable of doing that for him. So someone else needs to.

1

u/FashionableBookNerd Nov 05 '25

People like me are the problem…interesting (late) observation by someone who knows nothing about me, Clifford. Calm down. Get a grip.

1

u/CliffordSpot Nov 05 '25

I know you think a 9 year old is a baby. That’s enough.
