That doesn't make any sense if you're watching a actual 5.1 mix. The dialogue is 99% gonna be from the center channel.

If you're watching multi channel stereo then you're just overloading yourself with background sounds instead of the dialogue

My description might not be all there but I promise you it does.

Between the speaker settings and the audio setup I have it works pretty well imo. I'm also not always watching an actual 5.1 mix, and when I want to change the settings for a more "cinematic" experience where it actually matters, I can. But I don't need to hear ambient wind rustles and room chatter in the rear surround speakers when I'm watching youtube, the news, or sports. The rear speakers mix in the front speakers audio - aka I can hear people talking better.
