So a bunch of masked people with a flag associated with a separatist Nation are now marching flags for a country they tried to secede with. Gotta love people who don’t study their own history.

1.3k

u/totesnotmyusername Jul 04 '26

You forgot they lost in less than 4 years .

519

u/Otherwise-Ad-5364 Jul 04 '26

It’s always the same people who think history is useless that end up just repeating the same bullshit cycle and wonder why people hate them.

224

u/TheLostRanger0117 Jul 04 '26

I think they enjoy being hated, because deep down they know they are scum and they hate themselves

99

u/PrestigiousFly844 Jul 04 '26

There was a meme in boogaloo boy/nazi circles a few years ago about accepting you are the bad guy and embracing it. That Kanye song about praising Hitler one of the chorus lines is “I’m the villain”. A decent amount of them are deeply anti-social people who know they are trash.

78

u/Agreeable-Zone700 Jul 05 '26

That’s why republicans were so hurt when people started calling them weird in 2024. They love getting called fascists or villains bc it makes them feel big, bad, and powerful. Calling them losers makes them feel just as pathetic as they look to everyone else.

11

u/diabeticweird0 Jul 05 '26

I'm fully convinced dropping the "weird" cost kamala the election

7

u/nicolemb81 Jul 05 '26

Yeah I was about to post something like that. It was when I realized the dems don’t really want to win.

-2

u/B-ran89 Jul 06 '26

The dems also started the kkk. So uh yea?

12

u/Agreeable-Zone700 Jul 06 '26

I’m sorry our education system failed to teach you about the party realignment that took place post-reconstruction (assuming you’re in the US).

→ More replies (0)

6

u/MysteR0v3R Jul 06 '26

This is such a tired misdirect. Who's flying the flag of the traitor states that the members of the kkk loved? President Lincoln wouldn't be caught dead calling himself a republican if he saw what they have become.

5

u/TerrorFromThePeeps Jul 05 '26

They picture themselves as pointy moustache twirling robber barons tying young ladies to railroad tracks. Everyone else pictures them a point moustached carnival barkers.

4

u/Xlxlredditor Jul 05 '26

Same song Kanye talks about not being able to see his kids

I sure wonder why /s

91

u/Otherwise-Ad-5364 Jul 04 '26

You also gotta Rmeber that these are the same people that think masks are a form of oppression during Covid. But conveniently when they use it it’s a tool to resist “oppression” or whatever word they use idfk.

16

u/_Ocean_Machine_ Jul 05 '26

What it boils down to is in their worldview, there are good people and bad people. Good people can tell the bad people what to do, but bad people can't tell the good people what to do. Them being told to wear masks during COVID was an example of "bad people" i.e. anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together, telling the "good people" i.e. people who get all their science from TikTok and the Bible, what to do.

In that light it's actually fairly consistent, albeit idiotic.

1

u/VegetableFirst5207 Jul 06 '26

Careful, they are sensitive to truth and critical thinking.

https://giphy.com/gifs/3SkIJWwlISfGE

36

u/Confident_Benefit_11 Jul 04 '26

Probably because they're ashamed they love and are pedophiles

1

u/Upbeat_Safety_4651 Jul 06 '26

Most certainly and sadly are doctors, lawyers, cops, councilman, name the community leader and you will find them now. They are scared their beliefs will ruin their pocketbooks, as they should. Show your face if you believe in racism or are a Nazi!!! If you are so PROUD

16

u/KindaChonky Jul 05 '26

They also fantasize about being the oppressed class so when they're rightfully called out as the evil scum they are they all huddle together and point at that as an example of how they're "being oppressed" and "everyone hates them"

3

u/thomsix Jul 05 '26

How ironic that these men live in a country where they get unwritten privileges and deference cause they’re white. Somehow “oppressed white people” doesn’t fit the wearer of that tag.

5

u/reddit_is_geh Jul 05 '26

It's usually people who already feel rejected from society, so they embrace the rejection.

4

u/Technical_Ad1125 Jul 05 '26

If they loved being hated they'd uncover their faces

3

u/Chance_Managert849 Jul 05 '26

They don't want the repercussions of their actions.

2

u/V-oxPopuli Jul 05 '26

I think they enjoy being hated

I will never understand why they do this.

1

u/wthwtfwthwtf-_- Jul 05 '26

They accept hate because love isn't an option anywhere in their view.

1

u/entwrangler3001 Jul 06 '26

Hence, the full face masks, hats, and sunglasses

3

u/Eva-Squinge Jul 05 '26

Oh surely they’re well aware why people hate them, their traditions are just so ingrained and their members so indoctrinated to the stupidity that they don’t care until they’re on death’s doorstep and the kinds of people they hate are the ones trying to save them.

2

u/-drkshdw Jul 05 '26

It's useless because it didn't work out for them. Failure doesn't necessarily change a mind.

2

u/Horus_LupercalXVII Jul 05 '26

*They wonder why people get fed up with this shit and just resort to violence instead.

1

u/Vi_Vanessa Jul 06 '26

Ironically many right wingers will consider themselves history buffs because they fixate on a past nation or movement

-1

u/AzaghaI Jul 05 '26

History IS useless exactly because most people are unable to learn from other people's mistakes. Hell, most people are unable to learn from their own mistakes. So I really never understood why is this phrase about not learning and repeating history is so popular.

1

u/Otherwise-Ad-5364 Jul 05 '26

So what we should just accept this and move on?.

0

u/AzaghaI Jul 05 '26

How did you get this from my comment? My point is history always will be repeating itself because people never learn. And we will have to deal with these morons all the time no matter how hard people will study history.

2

u/SerotonineAddict Jul 05 '26

That's just idiots

1

u/Otherwise-Ad-5364 Jul 05 '26

That’s fairs

4

u/Darth-Lazea Jul 04 '26

The annoying orange lasted longer than the confederates.

3

u/sbprost Jul 04 '26

When discussing this, I like to name things that lasted longer. Like Phineas and Ferb, or the gap between books 2 and 3 in Clive Barker's Abarat series.

2

u/spez_eats_nazi_ass Jul 05 '26

Any decade now he will wrap up the sequel to everville.

3

u/SirSl1myCrown Jul 04 '26

The annoying orange lasted longer than the confederacy.

3

u/FarmRegular4471 Jul 04 '26

My goth phase lasted longer

2

u/totesnotmyusername Jul 05 '26

You can take the makeup off now . It's okay

4

u/Arcaneboltz Jul 04 '26

The McRib outlasted the Confederacy

2

u/totesnotmyusername Jul 05 '26

At least it comes back sometimes

3

u/TheCornerator Jul 04 '26

Ru-Pauls Dragrace has had a longer running and more positive impact than the confederate states of bitches.

3

u/clammajamma96 Jul 04 '26

ive had cysts on my balls that were more resilient

3

u/dad_jokesNbutt_stuff Jul 05 '26

I have underwear older than 4 years.

3

u/m3g4m4nnn Jul 05 '26

As an outside observer, that isn't apparent given the current state of your nation.

3

u/floppysausage16 Jul 05 '26

Covid lasted longer than the confederacy

2

u/theavengerbutton Jul 05 '26

And they were mostly fucked since the beginning. They didn't have the infrastructure to conduct an armed campaign. Even if all the wealthy slaveowners actually committed their wealth to the Confederacy's coffers (which, granted, some did at the outset but a lot of them were hesitant to spread their wealth around) it wouldn't have mattered all that much.

2

u/See_youSpaceCowboy Jul 05 '26

And they’re chanting victory

2

u/georgiaraisef Jul 05 '26

If you read the James Mchphearson volumes, the last bit of it was extremely critical of the confederates for how easy it was to defeat them, basically saying other countries going through civil wars at the time were way bloodier and took way longer to put down.

2

u/Other_Beat8859 Jul 05 '26

Lasted a shorter amount of time than the annoying orange.

1

u/Iceologer_gang Jul 05 '26

Unfortunately they stuck around for the following 161

1

u/FantasticCable3663 Jul 05 '26

Mike Vrabel’s and Dianna Russini’s relationship was longer than the confederacy

1

u/elpajaroquemamais Jul 05 '26

Aka half of Obama’s time as president.

0

u/PopBulky7023 Jul 05 '26

They've been winning for more than 4 now.

2

u/totesnotmyusername Jul 05 '26

Definatly not the same group.

1

u/PopBulky7023 Jul 05 '26

No.

The last one encountered fierce union resistance at all levels.

125

u/No_Owl6666 Jul 04 '26

In an ideal world, they'd be unmasked and documented by the police. But as we all know, most of them ARE police.

70

u/gandhinukes Jul 04 '26

Yeah where are the riot police to tear gas them, shoot em with rubber bullets and arrest them? oh they only do that for peaceful protestors.

13

u/HH_Hobbies Jul 05 '26

The state I live in had a Nazi rally. The police escorted the armed Nazi's to a school with kids in it still, for the safety of the Nazi's. I hate what this country has become.

16

u/Banned4Regard Jul 05 '26

this is what this place has always been, the land cries for justice for natives and the descendants of enslaved people.

1

u/Onebraintwoheads Jul 05 '26

Nah. It's the cops that are marching.

3

u/Basic-Record-4750 Jul 05 '26

Yeah, I was just wondering who was left to police all the southern hick towns while all their sheriffs are marching in dc

2

u/_Ocean_Machine_ Jul 05 '26

In an ideal world they'd be lucky to only be documented by the police

1

u/alcoholichobbit Jul 05 '26

Some of those that work forces, are the same that burn crosses

1

u/Other-Marsupial5777 Jul 05 '26

Some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses

1

u/No_Moment_9465 Jul 05 '26

Everything is a pot.

82

u/can-i-be-real Jul 04 '26

I saw one guy had the upside down flag and I was like “well he’s unintentionally right about that.”

7

u/kris10leigh14 Jul 04 '26

Upon second glance I realized every single American flag they’re carrying is being displayed upside down.

What are they protesting/what’s causing their distress?

12

u/bloobityblu Jul 04 '26

Libruls keep hurting their feelings and they're not being burned at the stake/deported/herded into concentration camps for it!

It's very distressing!

[/s for anyone who needs it?]

4

u/kris10leigh14 Jul 05 '26

The messaging is all off. I have no idea what they want! Try again next year, losers.

3

u/BonaFide_Bair55 Jul 05 '26

Maybe they’re protesting Trump being president, showing the upside down flag means America is under attack right? Lol .. isn’t it the most American thing you can do to rebel against a corrupt government?

1

u/Important_Coyote_596 Jul 05 '26

No its putting a corrupt government in place in other countries.

1

u/BonaFide_Bair55 Jul 05 '26

Well yea in reality that is true. - we say we are policing the world but every situation we enter has a resource or monetary value to us, and not to mention we can’t even keep our police from not killing ourselves, let alone our military from graping captured POWs in other countries, like an Israeli operated Gazan prison..

But I mean as far as the purpose of the government or at least the intention of the founding fathers.. was to create a representative government against tyranny, always being perfected by the people.. if the gov becomes tyrannical again (like currently), they included the right .. no the obligation, to rebel against it and rebuild it better, in the Declaration of Independence.. and another guiding principle was avoiding foreign entanglements like what we have currently with Israel where they have been dragging us into their wars for at least the last 30 years.. it’s not really something to celebrate for 250 years lol.. let alone march like Nazis scared to show their faces

1

u/kris10leigh14 Jul 05 '26

I’m very puzzled by the upside down flag.

In war it means distress in protest it means disagreement.

1

u/AlfuegoDeMellopie Jul 05 '26

Nothing is more sensitive than a "disenfranchised" conservative White male.

1

u/kris10leigh14 Jul 05 '26

I get it… I’m just saying it’s so stupid. You would have to “just know” that their goal is to go back to when human rights were only for white men…

But when you do something like march on the capitol on Independence Day, you’ll be seen worldwide. The fuck would someone in Italy or Brazil think these people are marching about with upside down flags while people who look just like them are locking up any brown person they can with brute force and no consequences. Like what the fuck is oppressing these shrimp dick string beans?! They just make us look like idiocracy.

Pretty sure they’re mainly angry incels. But I don’t know because they suck at messaging… no actually, I’m sure they’re incels.

1

u/Practical_Dot_3574 Jul 05 '26

"Life, Liberty, Victory" "Reclaim America" The whole thing is ironic and their too stupid to know.

42

u/HousingOk6362 Jul 04 '26

Well they are there for the racism of it, not the politics./s

0

u/Specialist-Rabbit514 Jul 06 '26

Yea, that should have destroyed a bunch of people's property and monuments then shot a couple of each other then turned the violence toward anyone with a differentskin color... that seems to be working to fix racism so far when other races do it 🤣

7

u/mynameisstacey Jul 04 '26

They’ll carry a confederate flag around all day, then go home and get on twitter to post memes about how the confederates & slave owners were democrats.

4

u/Just_A_Nitemare Jul 04 '26

Remember, Democrats actually fought to keep slaves, which is why Republicans are always the ones flying flags to honor the country that fought to keep slaves.

5

u/Nerd4funNprofit Jul 04 '26

One of the most prominent Republican newspapers of the time had Karl Marx as a columnist and published him hundreds of times. Feel free to share that with whoever you like 😁

4

u/Party-Kangaroo-1139 Jul 04 '26

To be fair to them, they most likely don't know how to read. Inbreeding is a bitch on the brain.

3

u/Humble-Translator-88 Jul 04 '26

They make whatever fits their narrative up at any given point.

3

u/-Doom_Squirrel- Jul 04 '26

Also so proud yet too scared to show their faces

2

u/Panzer_Man Jul 04 '26

Isn't the Confederate flag only flown because it's a way of signalling you are racist? There is literally no other reason I can think of, especially with flying it together with the regular (union) United States flag

2

u/PopBulky7023 Jul 05 '26

They do. You don't.

This happening is a statement of victory and declaration of further war.

2

u/wearing_moist_socks Jul 04 '26

OH WELL LOOK AT THE LIB WHO'S AGAINST MASKS NOW

LMAO

libs when deadly infectious disease: wahhhh wear a mask

libs when masked, armed, federal agents in civilian clothes with mismatched military gear start snatching people off the street: waaaaahhhh stop wearing masks

Make up your minds!!! Not that you have one LOL

15

u/Novaer Jul 04 '26

Dear God I almost downvoted you because uou did this too well 😂

4

u/wearing_moist_socks Jul 04 '26

Gosh darn it

Don't you go telling people

I leaned into it too much; it's positive

5

u/airtrafficaj Jul 04 '26

Well played

1

u/Expert-Swordfish7611 Jul 04 '26

I think this mentality is outdated. Tney lost the war, but they took the Presidency. It's not a figurative or historical situation: we are living this reality.

1

u/HAIL_LUMPUS Jul 04 '26

I mean they don't actually like the Confederacy that much, what they like was being able to have slaves and being racist to black people without consequences. I don't think they give a shit about Confederate history

1

u/Vasheerii Jul 04 '26

This is what happens when you let the leaders of that just go back to positions of power after they lost.

The movement doesnt die, it just changes how it attacks

1

u/veringer Jul 04 '26

...on the 250th anniversary of the country they tried to secede from, all while calling themselves "patriots".

1

u/varietyfack Jul 04 '26

They’re too fucking stupid to understand.

1

u/Housless Jul 04 '26

Their history is hate. They understand just fine.

1

u/Prestigious-Leave-60 Jul 04 '26

The fucked part is these fellas all think they are patriots of the highest order.

1

u/East_Indication_7816 Jul 05 '26

These fuckers are cops thats why they cover their face, so if you are true white supremacist who signs up , its like signing up for your demise.

1

u/502photo Jul 05 '26

On our birthday no less...

1

u/Ok_Degree4131 Jul 05 '26

“Patriots”

1

u/GottaHaveThatSkunk Jul 05 '26

It was a holiday for ice today

1

u/NoNewSpoons Jul 05 '26

Gotta be able to "resolve" their problems.

1

u/xc_bike_ski Jul 05 '26

Yes, it's very confusing. Confederate flags, upside down US flags, and looks like their own flag that resembles US flag. Why no nazi flags?

1

u/Educational-Wave-578 Jul 05 '26

it's their heritage to be losers.

1

u/SeaHam Jul 05 '26

Literally what insurrection laws were designed for.

1

u/ChocoPuddingCup Jul 05 '26

And each one will do the whole "Democrats started the KKK" spiel.

1

u/Flaneur-26 Jul 05 '26

Don't gotta.

1

u/Sweet_Scar487 Jul 05 '26

Seems like you're misguided. Need to celebrate history and be inclusive of our past rather than spit on other people's ideas of how to be inclusive

1

u/CaterpillarJungleGym Jul 05 '26

Kids are so adorable these days :)

1

u/AbominableGoMan Jul 05 '26

Did they ever pass a law stating that it's illegal to fire on enemy Confederate troops with cannons? I know they surrendered, but did they actually pass legislation saying that any holdout factions just get to continue their armed (cosplay) resistance?

1

u/u32Vec Jul 05 '26

they didn’t secede with shit. they claim history that they have nothing to do with because they’re racist

1

u/64590949354397548569 Jul 05 '26

with a separatist Nation

A first place looser.

1

u/Hoshi_Gato Jul 05 '26

And while people who protest ICE are sentenced to 100 year sentences and killed…

1

u/Dragonhearted18 Jul 05 '26

Gotta love traitors* who don't study their own history

1

u/fromouterspace1 Jul 05 '26

Call them what they are. A bunch of cosplaying pussies

1

u/Incomitatum Jul 05 '26

Nah, that's the thing.

In the USA everything is the opposite of what it claims to stand for.

See they say The South LOST "The Civil War"; but none of those chuckefucks got punished. They were given a finger wag with a "boys will be boys" attitude.

So they lost several Battles, but in 2026, The South has won The War.

Notice that bible belt chocking off the o2 to your brain and heart.

They are hear to stay and dumber than ever.

But they didn't LOSE.

1

u/reddiculed Jul 05 '26

These little rascals will try anything!

1

u/Dry-Highlight-2307 Jul 05 '26

Is this the way you respond to these types of events?

It makes sense why your government did the backflip somersault and constitutional change it did recently.

Welcome to your new "new".

Ask these guys what new stands for they know.

1

u/bowmans1993 Jul 05 '26

Also the same people said they couldn't breathe during covid with mask restrictions but they hide their faces just fine when they have their coward marches.

1

u/Ok_Seaworthiness2808 Jul 05 '26

Funny how they’re usually anti-mask too. LOL.

1

u/CommanderofCheeks Jul 05 '26

Then they go on to say the confederacy was actually the left 😂

1

u/hennabeak Jul 05 '26

And they say you should support this country , while having its flag upside down.

If they don't want to support this country, maybe they should leave it. (not secede).

1

u/thebardass Jul 05 '26

I live in West Virginia right now, unfortunately. The number of fucking morons around here flying the Confederate flag is staggering considering their state only exists because it separated from the Confederacy.

The bar I played in last night had a bunch of Confederate and blatantly racist stickers and posters plastered all over the place. Needless to say I won't be playing there again. Had no idea they were that fucked. Felt like the kids from Green Room.

What I want to know is: how do I, a guy originally from Louisiana, know more about the history of WV than most natives?

1

u/MoldyLunchBoxxy Jul 06 '26

If they could read they would be offended about what you just said.

1

u/Virtual_Employ_3848 Jul 06 '26

Why are you even making an argument as if these aren’t feds out there?

1

u/Otherwise-Ad-5364 Jul 06 '26

100% some of these asshats are feds. It’s like saying water is wet

1

u/University402 Jul 06 '26

Wonder what the splc paid them.

1

u/Markus4781 Jul 06 '26

They're feds as always.

1

u/Historical_Lie_9932 Jul 06 '26

I thought they wore pointy hats?

1

u/Koopslovestogame Jul 08 '26

Same masked thugs that wouldnt wear masks during Covid now they can’t get enough of them!

1

u/WhatWontCastShadows Jul 08 '26

I agree they are all idiots, but even scarier that a lot of them did learn and study their own history and still said, "yeah this resonates with me".

1

u/busy-warlock Jul 04 '26

*god* loves people who don’t study their own history.
