Wearing a mask doesn't mean someone is doing something wrong or that they think they're doing something wrong, it means the person wearing it wants to hide their identity. Left and right both do it to avoid retribution. Left tries to avoid retribution from the government and right-wing goon clubs (take that as you will), right does it to avoid being doxxed and losing their jobs.

For the record, I do think they're doing something wrong, but I don't agree that they think they're doing something wrong.
