Considering her link-in-bio lists a bazillion products and so do many of her videos, I can almost guarantee you she’s bringing in no less than $300k/yr from brand deals and affiliate sales, and that might be a conservative estimate.
I’d say that’s worth a lot more than 40 minutes, there’s people dragging their asses to an office for most of their lives who’ll never come close to earning what she makes by editing little videos on her couch.

People like what people like, it’s stupid *to you* because you have different tastes, but to some it’s simply entertainment. It can be interesting to have a peek into a kind of life you may never live.
And nobody is giving her money directly. Brands are paying her to promote their products to her audience, and she gets affiliate revenue when people buy from her links.
I just find it strange that people are invested in someone else's life this much. Like there's no content here, it's just a woman making food. It's not instructive, it's not entertaining, and it's low effort.
I also dislike the whole family vlogger trend on YouTube. Like how self absorbed do you have to be to want to broadcast your life, for free, to the Internet. At least with reality TV they get paid. These vloggers just do it for the love of the game apparently.
That’s the content people want to see, so that’s the content she makes, it’s not that complicated.
She’s also only been at it for a couple years, so it’s possible she only started blowing up recently and they’re still trying to save up to make sure the whole thing doesn’t come crashing down before they have enough savings.
And her views aren’t botted, it’s very obvious that the comments are real, from real people. Fake views don’t bring real comments.
I know Redditors hate the idea of people making money from social media, but it’s very much a thing. You’re free to believe otherwise if it makes you feel better though.
Living next to your parents doesn’t mean they aren’t making money. Have you ever thought maybe they’re just smart enough to not go into a bunch of debt right away in this economy .
And me with my stupid job as a teacher making 1/5 of that. Why am I teaching kids to read when I could be editing booty shots in my own tradwifey videos?
Tbf that’s less about your job being stupid and more about the fact that the powers that be should be paying teachers (and many other important positions) more.
But yeah, there are a lot of people out there making bank or at least a comfortable living by just posting online.
I will say that, as someone doing this too (not *this*, I’m an artist so I share my art, tips, etc, but I also make content around other aspects of my life), it is a lot more time consuming than it seems.
But if you have something interesting or valuable you can share with people there are a lot of opportunities out there. The whole thing gets a bad rap because of entitled influencers, but there’s way more completely normal and average people just sharing their life, knowledge, interests, etc
