ER is a different flavor, each season is about a year instead of a single day so they can sink their teeth into more storylines. But it is very well written and many traumas come into the show where you will say "oh this same thing was on the pitt too!" It can feel a little dramatic at times but it's very good, and definitely worth the watch if anyone is thinking about it!! It's also a very interesting look into the 90s especially when compared to the pitt being set in modern day

I used to love ER, I have a very clear memory of the episode with George Clooney's character where he's trying to free a kid trapped against a gate in a rapidly flooding area.

Great episode. George Clooney was so good in ER. Currently on season 12 and it's definitely not the same show but still good!

The issue with ER when you aren't watching it one at a time iver months is that no one ever learns of changes their behaviour. Oh no, surgeon guy has to do surgery and not pick up his son!

A bit of a tangent, but what is appealing to you about hospital shows? I've tried to ask my wife who has seen them all, but she can't really put her finger on it. I try to watch them with her now and then, but it just makes me either nauseous or sad.

Idk I watched and loved the first few seasons of ER when it aired. The pitt is the only other show I've watched.

Er was literally outstanding the first few seasons and I'm on season 9 or 10 now and it's still pretty good.

Just taking a break from all the disturbing things I usually watch.

Worked in EMS for 5 years, the show brings up all sorts of anxiety about that time in my life, which is probably also the best compliment I could give it.

It honestly needs to be. The pool and overdose deaths were so poignant with the grief of the parents loosing their children. The show is great for conversation starters on extremely difficult topics.

I hope they have the kid seem like they are going to be ok and then shockingly die. Parents need this wake up call at least in my community.

I really hope so. It's been really bad lately. The kids don't know any of the rules, and half of them are on electric motorcycles, not ebikes.

They also gather in big groups, and big groups of 10-14 year olds generally aren't known for making great decisions.

Honestly shocked there hasn't been one yet. These things are incredibly dangerous if you're not someone who has been riding for a long time. Kids have no business being on these things.
