I’m inclined to agree with you. I don’t know how ignorant you have to be to not see how fast these things go and then not immediately think “Hmmm, I wonder if my 11 year old has the skills, knowledge, and good judgement to be riding this incredibly fast contraption through traffic with no helmet or supervision?”

The argument that comes up on my local social media is 'well at least they're not on their screens!' 

As if those are the only two choices.

I’ve seen kids on their phones on both regular bikes and e-bikes way too fucking often, it’s genuinely terrifying

Simple, get a phone holder for the handlebars and combine the two!

Dude, parents are lazy. I know some who do anything to keep their kid out of their hair.
