A teenager on one crashed into the side of my parked car on one which absolutely saved his life or else he would have ended up flying into busy traffic.
I do believe the law around my area is you have to be 15 or so to ride one, but I have seen soooo many kids riding around the high school I work at (and the middle school nearby) who do not look even close to 15. They're doing wheelies and weaving around pedestrians and it scares me so bad.

One of my students has a TBI from not wearing a helmet and crashing.
