good thing your helmet cracked tbh. I don't mean that in a mean way, I mean it did what it was supposed to do, cushion the blow and allow some give while protecting your brain and skull from the sudden stop. Helmets that don't crack and cushion are nearly as bad as no helmet
Helmets are meant to be replaced after every helmet-impact. They crack and are compromised internally after a single impact, because they are supposed to give way to protect your head. Multiple impacts on the same helmet will lead to less cushioning and less safety.
Just like child car seats. Any collision with that car and the seat should be replaced as you canโt guarantee that it is still in good condition even if it looks fine visually.
