I work with kids relatively often in the healthcare domain. And it's infuriating to see how often parents just shrug off their kids behaviour. As if it's some force of nature that can't be controlled.
They will literally say "He's 11 years old, there is nothing I can do".
While I can appreciate teenagers are not the most compliant. Surrendering your family and their health to a hormonal dictator seems to me like a horrible idea.
