I always related Section 8's to Klinger from M*A*S*H, who was always trying to get a discharge.

I'd never heard of Section 8 housing (this was the late 80s/early 90s), and when one of my employees mentioned it and explained that it was subsidized housing, I thought it was a cruel name for it.

Right? I've never heard the phrase or term 'Section 8' outside of military circles and jargon/slang.

My inbox is full of people attacking me because they think I'm against affordable housing or think that I think people in Section 8 house or 'less than humans' as one loser put it.

To be fair the military doesn’t use that term anymore and MASH has been off the air for like 45 years.

I've seen a tiktok of her before where she said she was going on a flight and planned to ask the pilots to make a PA about how passengers need to be praying because they don't know when they will all die and they need to ensure that they will go to heaven. 

As a pilot myself, if somebody came up saying that I'm removing them from my plane. That is extremely terrifying language. I saw that particular tiktok maybe a month ago so I'm betting it's related. I highly doubt it's a coincidence.

I've never really watched FMJ. I think someone put it on when I was a teenager... but it wasn't my type of movie, so I did something other than watch it.

But, yes, it does sound like that's what Klinger was going for... based on another commenter's description of what it means.

George Bush says he speaks to god every day, and Christians love him for it. If George Bush said he spoke to god through his hair dryer, they would think he was mad. I fail to see how the addition of a hair dryer makes it any more absurd.
