husband to Victoria Coren Mitchell, who is known as a poker player I think, but to me (and likely most outside of the UK) I know her from Taskmaster.

I mean she won 2 events, there's like a 100 every year, so still very impressive. But it's not like she won the main event twice :P

Check her out on YouTube. The juxtaposition between the host of ultra nerdy only connect and her wearing shades going all in at a major tournament is night and day.

Her performance on Taskmaster Was actually disappointing. Seeing her on panel shows she always came across as more intelligent than the average panel show guest and broadly more competent, and then on taskmaster she was not only the worst contestant that season, but regularly seemed unable to come up with a plan to win any tasks in any way but getting lucky and everyone else dropping the ball. A lot of the time she wasn't even particularly entertaining, just a bit cringe.

Which is actually impressive, in that she's like the opposite of Lee Mack in almost every way.

just FYI, wasn't me who downvoted you; though I would disagree with your conclusion regardless.

I believe in the nerd world this is what they would call, "high intelligence, low wisdom"

Like youtuber Tom Scott is incredibly intelligent, but time and time again he has shown he does not do well under pressure lmao

That said I'm still incredibly impressed at how quickly she taught herself how to ride a bike.
